Lloyd Vincent Hodge,

Our beloved Lloyd Vincent Hodge, II, 29, suddenly went to be with the Lord on June 10, 2009. He was born April 14, 1980, to Lloyd Vincent Hodge and Reva D. Charity in Arlington, VA. Lloyd was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edmond and Bernice Hodge, William and Mozelle Fleming Morris.Lloyd was educated in the District of Columbia public school system. He graduated in 1998 from the Math and Science Academy at Frank W. Ballou High School. Lloyd attended Clark University in Worchester, MA, and graduated in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in English.He went on to Anna Maria College in Paxton, MA, and graduated in 2005 with a master’s degree in Criminal Justice. Lloyd was passionate in perusing a career in law and legislation. He completed law enforcement training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center and became a criminal investigator with the government of the District of Columbia Office of Inspector General. Recently, Lloyd’s dream job became reality when the FBI accepted him as a special agent. Lloyd loved traveling. During his lifetime, he traveled to the Bahamas; Toronto, Ontario,Canada; Montreal, Quebec, Canada; Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada; San Francisco, Los Angles, New Orleans, Miami, Georgia, San Jose, and many other U.S. cities. Early in his career Lloyd traveled to Lima, Peru, to train for the British Embassy. He looked forward to working with the FBI to follow his desires of traveling and living in different areas of the United States. Lloyd was a true child of God. He accepted the Lord as his Savior at the young age of ten. Since then he has walked and lived his life through the Lord. He had an extensive knowledge of the Bible and could repeat scripture confidently and effortlessly. As a teenager, he got the nickname “Rev. Lloyd” and passed the Word onto anyone he encountered. Growing up Lloyd had an incredible desire for knowledge. Once something caught his attention, Lloyd studied and learned everything there was to know about the topic. His interest in sports showed through his impressive ability to answer any sports-related question from any time period. Lloyd’s knowledge allowed him to hold a conversation with any person from any walk of life. Family was Lloyd’s life. To his family and friends, Lloyd was a confidant who always had the right words to uplift in any tough situation. He had an unforgettable personality and made friends wherever he went – a true “people person.” Although Lloyd spent as much time as he could with his family and friends, he also volunteered and shared his time and gifts with others in need. He discarded nothing – food, clothing, he understood his blessings and passed them on to others who was less fortunate. Lloyd accomplished so much in his short time on earth. To have known him is a blessing. He was an incredible person who had a loving spirit and a wonderful sense of humor. His smile was contagious. Lloyd loved life, and it showed in everything he did. The many lives that he touched will never forget his love, uniqueness, kindness, and just how very special he was. He will never be forgotten and will forever be missed. These words are not enough to express how much Lloyd meant to those blessed with having him in their lives. He leaves to cherish loving memories to his father, Lloyd Vincent Hodge (DC); mother, Reva Morris Charity (VA); sisters, Kyla Charity and Bernice Hodge (DC); brother, Edmond Hodge (Danielle) of (NC); aunts, Jackie Hodge, Frances Hodge (DC), Mary Green and Latrice Ramos (VA); uncles, Edmond Noah Seals (DC), Vernon Morris and Carl Morris (VA); nephew, Malik Hodge; devoted friend, Tamika Moore; a host of other relatives and friends. “Nothing can make up for the absence of someone welove . . . we must simply hold out and see it though”
