Linda Moon Woodson

Linda Moon Woodson was born January 6, 1952, and was the youngest child of the late Roscoe and Sadie Moon. she was called home to rest on February 17, 2024. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her brothers, Roscoe Jr. and Garland. Linda was educated in the Diocese of Richmond Catholic Schools in Richmond, Virginia, and graduated from Cathedral Central High School in 1970. After high school, she started a career at Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Company (Verizon) as a switchboard operator and quickly moved up the ladder, culminating with her as a computer analyst until her retirement in the early 2000s. After retirement from Verizon, she became restless and went on to work in the retail industry at Casual Corner, Restoration Hardware, and her most recent endeavor, Brighton Collectibles, where she retired from her position this past January. Ever the horticulturist, she could be found in her garden making it look as if there was a competition, in which all of her neighbors ,friends, and other onlookers would agree that she would be the winner by a landslide. Additionally, she was quite the show-person and finely decorated her home for holidays which let to her family calling it " the museum". As a child, she learned the joy of family, and in adulthood, she carried on that tradition. Spending time with her family was the light of her life, especially her grandchildren, and being able to attend their various events, stateside, and even overseas, as she was able to witness her grandson graduate high school in Italy. A charismatic personality, Linda was a friendly face that neighbors saw around the neighborhood always ready to wave and smile at people passing by or stopping to chat with her neighbors while walking her beloved dogs. Linda was huge fan of jazz and loved attending jazz concerts with "Boo" and friends. she was a loving wife, mother, and nana and was always willing to lend a hand to those she loved. Linda was a member of the Unique Sisters, a local social club until they disbanded. She has left behind to celebrate and cherish many loving memories a devoted, Edward "Boo" Woodson; daughters, Shannan Lee (Dewan) and Eryn Woodson; stepdaughters, Sharon and Yolanda Dandridge; grandchildren, Jayson, Jasmyn, Charlotte, and Catheryn Lee, Angela and Amber Dandridge, Kia Royster, Darrell Walker, and William and Asia Bryant; fur baby, Zoe; and a host of other relatives and friends.
