Lillian Vendetta Ross

LILLIAN V. ROSS was born on July 5, 1953, in Fayetteville, North Carolina; she was the eldest of four children born to King Ross, Sr. and the late Nannie Mae Ross. Lillian departed this life after a lengthy illness, on Wednesday, July 26, 2023. Although born in North Carolina, Lillian was raised in Baltimore, Maryland. She matriculated through the Baltimore City public school system, where she attended Franklin D. Roosevelt Elementary School No. 18, William H. Lemmel Junior High School, and Eastern High School, from which she graduated in the year 1972. In her early years, Lillian married the late Ronald N. Wolfe, Sr., and from this union was born three children: Paula R. Wolfe, Antonio R. Wolfe, and Robert N. Wolfe. In her later years, Lillian gave birth to two additional children: Larry D. Kearney, Jr. and Lisa S. Kearney. Lillian loved her children passionately and unconditionally. She also had a spiritual gift of mercy and a servants heart. Although being a very firm and direct individual, who did not mince words, Lillian genuinely loved people and gave of herself generously to help many others. Lillian worked for several retail and carrier companies throughout her life. However, her final profession was a Driving Service Representative at the former SmithKline Beecham Clinical Labs, now Quest Diagnostics, where she worked for over 20 years. In her younger years, Lillian was an avid reader and loved to sing; she was a part of a 60’s girls singing group with her childhood friends Claudia, Carolyn, Joanne, and Queenie. In her later years, Lillian loved to watch documentaries and Disney movies; she loved studying how the human body functioned. Lillian was also an exceptional cook. Lillian was an enthusiastic student of the Word of God; she loved God with all her heart and soul. At a very young age, Lillian gave her life to God through the acceptance of Jesus the Christ as her Lord and Savior, at the Mt. Calvary Pentecostal Church. As an adult, Lillian became a member of the Pennsylvania Avenue A.M.E.Z. Church, where she served faithfully on the support team for the Men’s Ministry under the leadership of her brother-in-law Aaron L. Cook. It gave her great joy to serve the men, as she was keenly aware of their foundational purpose and significance in the body of Christ and in society as a whole. It was also during this time that she actively participated in a Bible Study group led by Ms. Alice Cutchember. Lillian later joined the former Restoring Life International Church, where she served passionately as a member of the Media Ministry. Lillian was very serious about her role to get the Word of God to people who desired further studies via teaching tapes and CDs; it was through this work that she named herself “Victorious Resource.” Lillian also spent a few years as a member of the Church of the Redeemed of the Lord. In her final days, Lillian was an active and enthusiastic student of For Those Who Choose Ministries, Inc., which is a ministry focused on teaching God’s foundational concepts and principles of the Kingdom. Lillian had a great thirst and hunger for learning more about God’s Kingdom Government manifested in the earth (the Kingdom of God), so she could learn how to apply His Kingdom principles in all aspects of her life. Her presence at the Saturday Bible Studies and insightful contributions to the discussions will be greatly missed. Lillian leaves many people to cherish her memory: Father, King Ross, Sr. and Step-Mother Monica Ross; children Paula, Antonio, Robert (Shanika), Larry, and Lisa; grandchildren Ta-Shaveon Allen, Elisha Lane (Thomas), Anyia Allen-Stuckey (Dequann), Nyajah Montaque, Tashay, Robert, Jr., Tavaiah, and Shaniya Wolfe, and Brayly Kearney; great-grandchildren: Kayden Richardson, Tristen, Matthias, Legend, and Thomas Lane, Jr., and Heaven Montague; Siblings: Annette R. Cook (Elder Aaron), King Ross, Jr., and Rene’ J. Ross; last living Aunt, Pauline Ross, nieces and nephews, who adored her, a host of other relatives, friends and neighbors as well as two very devoted friends: Claudia Woodson-Henry-Ball (friend and sister since fourth grade), and Antonio Rice.
