Leroy Allen

Our beloved, Leroy “Lee” Allen was born May 2, 1933. Leroy was called to eternal life on Thursday, May 19, 2011. He was preceded in death by the late Mitchell and Ethel Coy Allen and his wife, Frances Scruggs-Allen. Leroy attended Henrico Public Schools. He received his spiritual guidance from the Refuge Church of Jesus Christ. Leroy retired as a faithful and diligent worker from Mueller Construction Company. A dedicated father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Leroy was a devoted friend to many. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Equally, he enjoyed watching wrestling with his great-grandchildren and listening to music. His favorite musical artists were James Brown and Bob Marley. He leaves to cherish his memories to his very loving and devoted daughter, Carolyn Scruggs; step-daughter, Sandra Edwards; two devoted sisters, Gladys Cottman and Willa-Mae Henley; four devoted brothers-in-law, Bishop Algenor Johnson, Raymond Cottman, Leonard Henley and Alexander Wyche; four devoted grandchildren, Lakisha, Lamont, LaToya and LaTeefa; two step-grandchildren, Shenika and Maurice Edwards Jr.; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends; two devoted Curley Green and Jimmy Nash.
