Leno Louis Bradby

Leno Louis Bradby was born August 27, 1959, the youngest of four children born to the late Helen Lewis and Leno Bradby. A native of Charles City, Virginia, he departed this life on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Bon Secours Memorial Hospital to the pearly gates of heaven. “Eatamup” as he was affectionately called by his family joined Gilfield Baptist Church at an early age. He remained a devoted member and diligently lived a holy life under that spiritual guidance. He was educated in the Charles City Schools System and graduated from Ruthville High School. Leno enlisted in the United States Army serving his country and proudly received an honorable discharge. On April 7, 2001, he was united in holy matrimony to Teresa Williams in Charles City, VA. He was employed by Westrock Corporation as a Shipping Supervisor for the last 28 years. His selfless spirit and love for family and friends was displayed throughout the community by his willingness to help those in need, especially the elderly. Whether it was a never ending phone call, a visit or just a good hard laugh, you could always count on him. Leno’s personality was certain to brighten up your day along with his glorious smile. He loved to research history especially genealogy and share what he learned with family, neighbors and friends. Leno was a wonderful provider for his wife and family. In his leisure, he enjoyed helping others, researching our family history and bringing political awareness to the forefront. Leno was preceded in death by his former wife, Pamela Barbour Bradby and his brother, Bernard O. Bradby. He leaves to cherish his loving memory, a caring wife, Teresa Bradby of the home; two devoted sons, Leno Jr. of Atlanta, GA and William Tyler of the home; one sister, Vera Bradby Kearney of Warrenton, NC; one brother, Hugo Bradby (Linda) of Richmond, VA; four aunts, Daisy Allen (Felix), Maurice Bradby and Ardelia Lewis all of Charles City, VA; Marva Lewis of Richmond, VA; uncle, Joseph Lewis of Tucson, AZ; six nieces and four nephews; mother-in-law, Lois Williams of Charles City, VA; brother-in-law, Jody Williams (Yolanda) of Charles City, VA; sister-in-law, Leisha Williams of Charles City, VA; and a host other relatives and loving friends. Leno will be remembered for his gentle, kind disposition, and all the love he has always showed his family. May the love of God be with him eternally!
