Mr. Lenard Ellworth Shaw

LENARD ELLWORTH SHAW was born on September 22, 1966 to Dollie Shaw and Zell Williams in Baltimore, Maryland. Both parents preceded him in death. Lenard departed this earthy life and journeyed to his Heavenly Home with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 18, 2023. Beatle was an active member of Faith United Baptist Church serving on the Ushers and Men’s ministries until his health began to decline that prevented him from further serving in those capacities. Lenard was educated in Baltimore City Public Schools, receiving his High School Diploma from Northern High School in 1985 and he was a proud “Viking”. After graduating from High School Beatle embarked on a Home Improvement apprenticeship. That is when His spark began to become an entrepreneur, thus establishing Beatle’s Home-Improvement. He built so many relationships from the many customers he had. Beatle had various jobs. To name a few was Duff’s Smorgasbord, King Memorial Park Cemetery as a groundskeeper, Aramark as a floor tech, Carey Hardware Store as a Supervisor. Lenard was affectionately known as “Len” or “Beatle” to his friends, family and coworkers. Beatle loved to joke around with everyone, whether he knew you or not. He was a joy to be around. Beatle loved to play cards, Pinochle was his favorite. He had a love for bowling and pool so much that he joined two bowling teams and three pool teams within those gaming leagues. He also was a member of a Private Social Club named the “Gardin Villa Club” Beatle without a doubt loved sports and because of it he listened to sports radio daily. On Sundays, Mondays and Thursdays he looked forward to watching the Baltimore Ravens and the Baltimore Orioles whenever they played. In his youthful days he played high school football. When he needed to be pumped up while working and such tasks he would blast music by DMX. But his favorite artists were Walter Hawkins and Prince. Beatle enjoyed cooking and watching various cooking shows and always critiquing his and others food. He also loved watching videos of woodworking projects as he was preparing to move into that professional craft. Beatle fell madly in love with the beautiful fly girl from the east side, Vonzella Oliver B.K.A. Nee-Nee. They courted for nine years before marrying on July 4, 1998. During this union they had two children that they worked hard on raising in a home filled with faith, love and laughter. Lenard leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted wife, Vonzella Shaw; his two children, Khandice Oliver-Hamlin (Gabrielle) and Leonard Shaw; three grandsons, Christopher Knight, Karter Oliver and Leonard Shaw III; mother-in-law, Margaret Pinkney (Michael); two aunts, Shirley Godley (Marcellous) and Mary Shaw; three sisters-in-law, Joyce Mason (Howard), Jackie Jones (Andre), Johnnie Mae Townes-Cousar (Terrence); brothers-in-law, Melvin Townes (Tamiya) and David Townes; goddaughter, Nashawn Jones, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
