Larry Miller Sr.

LARRY MILLER SR. was born on November 21, 1945 in Baltimore, MD to the late Thelma Brunt Bridges and Ulysses Miller Sr. On March 1, 2023, he departed this life peacefully. Preceding him in death are his brothers Lawrence Miller, Timothy Miller, Donald Gilliam and Dennis Miller. Larry was educated in Baltimore City Public Schools. Larry was raised in the Baptist religion, encouraged by his dedicated mother. Larry was a long-time employee of Southern States Corporation and Lebanon Chemical Plant. Later in life, after his retirement, he thoroughly enjoyed working alongside his younger brother William with the completion of many high quality residential renovations in Baltimore, MD. He was a kind and loving family man. Larry adored his children and grandchildren and especially enjoyed taking them shopping. He had a funny sense of humor and was very jovial.He was a consummate fisherman. Fishing was his passion which he shared with many lifelong friends and acquaintances. He took pride in fishing with his brothers and nephews along with his 1stcousin Avon Brunt. Larry taught his youngest daughter and oldest son how to fish at the age of 4. We enjoyed taking the boat out and crabbing and fishing in the Chesapeake Bay and down to the Eastern Shore. He loved and enjoyed spending quality time with his family on holidays and special occasions. He especially loved attending his brother William’s Crab Feasts and Bull Roast. He was a giver to all. He was the type of man that would give his coat if he saw someone who didn’t have one on a cold day. Larry had a plethora of friends including lifelong friends, Tank, Melvin Jones, Robert Jones Jr., Floyd Jones, Mr. Henry, Angelo Clary and John Yesker, and William Spears. Larry was a people person and was easy to get along with. He loved listening to music and had a large collection of records. Larry also enjoyed dropping boxes off from different food pantries to others. Larry taught his youngest daughter and oldest son how to learn the beltways and highways in MD at a very young age. Larry was a humble man and was very loving and supportive to his ex-wife Joyce Miller while she underwent surgeries,and assisted her by taking her to the store. Larry leaves a legacy of two sons, Larry Miller Jr. and Devin Keith; two daughters, Toye Bosah and Taryn Miller; two granddaughters, Areyon Miller and Aiyanna Miller; four grandsons, Byron, Kevin, Kirk and Zion Miller; as well as five great-grandchildren and three grand pets Rudy, Bella, Heidi; and his Pet Parrot, Spike. He is survived by: sister, Diana Rogers; two brothers, Ulysess Miller and William Bridges; sister-in-law, Corena Bridges; and host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
