Kenneth Lee Winfield

Kenneth Lee Winfield,son of the late James Thomas Winfield and Merline Winfield, was born on September 13,1963 in Raleigh ,NC .He departed this life suddenly on November 30,2024. Kenny,as he was affectionately called,attended the Faith Church of the Nazarene with his family where he developed a personal relationship with the Lord. Kenny received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System .After graduating ,he attended school to become a truck driver. In August 1997, Kenny met the love of his life,Toni. Three years later,they blended their families in holy matrimony.In April 2002, they were blessed with their last baby boy.His family was complete,two girls and four boys. Kenny was a loving ,caring and hard working husband ,father, uncle, and friend. provider, protector, always willing to help out and gave good sound advice .Kenny drove tractor trailers for various trucking companies for forty years,traveling to and from forty -eight states. Along the way,he met many people , but few he called friends. Some of his long_time friends have become family (Ray, Jamal, Lorenda, Monique , and Jason , to name a few). When he was not on the road , he enjoyed family gatherings bowling, shooting pool, watching movies and the Florida vacations. Just before he was about to leave he would always say ,I love you Kenny's sudden passing has left a void in our lives. He will be sorely missed,but forever in our hearts. Kenny was preceded in death by his stepfather Nathaniel Peele;uncle Clayton Streater; cousin/brother Bobby Griffin Sr. (Zuzu) and niece Lillie Yvette Brown. Kenny is survived by his loving wife Toni Winfield; six children, Katisha Day ,Ashley Winfield, Kenneth Winfield Jr, Alonte Joshua Hill ,Kyre Winfield,,and Kiah Winfield;one grandson , Braxton Winfield;seven siblings, Wilvin Winmfield ,Janice Spears Broderick Winfield ,Paul Winfield,Paulette Winfield, Trina Murdock-Winfield and Natasha Winfield -Carter; father -in-law, Douglass Hill and mother-in- law. Joann E. HILL; Five brothers-in-law,Andrew Michael Spears Sr., Byron Smith Sr.,Dwayne Hill ,Arthur Carter , and Charles Murdock; three sisters-in-law,Karen Winfield ,Tonya Winfield and Keyisha Smith; and a host nieces , nephews, other relatives and close friends.
