Kenneth L. Williams

KENNETH LEON WILLIAMS was born in Baltimore, Maryland on December 12, 1953 at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He was transformed out of the sufferings of this present world into the glory, which was revealed to him on Friday, July 28, 2006.Kenneth was the son of Ulysses and Rosa Belle Pulley.Kenneth was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System and graduated from Fairmount Hill High School. He was generous to all his friends. If “Kenny Ball”, as he was affectionately known as, bought bologna and cheese for himself, every one got bologna and cheese. His love for cars was so great that in high school he worked to earn enough money to buy a brand new gold LTD.He always dreamed of owning his business. He finally achieved this goal when he opened “Kenny’s Grocery Store” on Jefferson Street. Although held many jobs throughout his lifetime, there were two he spoke highly of: the Johns Hopkins, Applied Physics Laboratory and the Beth-El Congregation. The latter was held at the time of his passing.During a prior marriage, his son Kenneth, Junior was born.He was a long-term member of Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church where he joined under the leadership of Pastor Frank Madison Reid, III and remained a member until his passing. He was also a member of the Men’s Ministry.He met his wife Sherri while she worked at Ames Department Store. After making several unsuccessful attempts at becoming better acquainted, Sherri finally gave him a chance. Once she decided she was smitten, they’re once short; quick rides home got longer and longer, as did the talks outside her mother’s house. After a lengthy courtship, they were married on February 21, 1998.Paterson Park was a special place for him. He loved to park, recline in the seat and read the newspaper. He found it soothing and enjoyable.He was He was preceded in death by his father, Ulysses Pulley, his mother Rosa Belle Pulley, a brother, Roger Williams and a sister, Cynthia Pulley. Kenny leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Sherri. He also leaves to mourn: his son, Kenneth Jr.; three daughters, Yvette Haskins, Sherron Stokes, and Shannon Satterfield; three brothers, Ulysses, Don and Marvin; seven sisters, Sandra, Helen, Rita, Leslie, Robin, Sheila and Helen; his grandchildren Kenneth, Keith, Jorden and London. They adored their Pop-Pop and will continue to carry on his legacy.Also left to mourn: a daughter-in-law, Shanelle Williams; a father-in-law, Collins Satterfield; two brothers-in-law, Collins, Jr and Michael; three sisters-in-law, Robin, Colleen and Jo’Nita; two uncles, George Lee and William Pulley; four aunts, Emma Edmonds, Gladys Cherry, Shirley Chase, and Ellen Pulley, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Finally, Simone Williams, the cat.
