Kennard J. Bess Jr.

Kennard James Bess, Jr., was born November 8, 1992 to Yvonne Jones and Kennard Bess, Sr. He departed from this life on Monday, October 14, 2013. Kennard received his education through Baltimore City Public School System, On May 7, 2010, Kennard was awarded a Certificate of Completion from the Backbone Mountain College Program. On June 21, 2010, Kennard welcomed his daughter, Kahila Seven Bess into this world of whom he fathered with Taja Powell. Needless to say , Kennard loved his daughter dearly and called her “Lia, Though she constantly corrected him insisting he call her by her nickname “Bean”. Kennard was an avid lover of fashion, music, and sports but was most fond of football , which he played with his brothers all the time, and was coached by his father. While Kennard comes from a large loving family, and has three maternal brothers, one paternal, and one paternal sister, he was raised alongside his three cousins “Rocky”, Davon, and Trey. Kennard also had one nephew, Zayden, and three nieces, Kayla, Kyaira, and Bre'Ayza that he was very fond of . Zyaira, who is now six, shared a special place in Kennard's heart. She nicknamed him “Gucci' as a reference to his habit of quoting Gucci Mane. Zyaira has expressed that her beloved “Gucci “ is with our Lord and Savior now”. Kennard is proceeded into glory by his maternal grandmother, Gertrude Jones; his maternal grandfather , James “Sank” Frisby; his paternal grandfather, James Elton Bess; his stepmother, Tammy Bess; his aunt; Carolyn Jones; his uncles Reginald “Mick” Jones, Carroll “Brucey” Jones T, and Ronald and “Malik” Jones He leaves to mourn his mother, Yvonne Jones; father Kennard Bess, Sr; his paternal grandmother, Clara Bess; loving daughter , Kahila Bess; brothersGregory, Joseph b.k.a.Jovan, Steven, and Patrick; sister, Neketta; sister - in- law, Shamira; nieces, Kayla Zyaira, and Bre'Ayra; nephew, Zayden; uncles, Joseph b.k.a. Hooks, Robert Lee, George b. k. a. Butchie, Melvin, Jermaine, Robert Lee Frisby, and James; aunts, Althea b.k.a. Shelly, Elonda, Ava, Gwendolyn, Debra, and Yvette; great aunts, Alice, and Esther b. k. a. Biddy; aunt-in-law, Sonin (Robert) his mentor and friend, Zeke; girlfriend Keona Stokes; and a host of cousins, along with additional relatives and friends.
