Katrina S. Hardaway

Katrina Shiree Hardaway, daughter of Paul and Fannie Hardaway, was born on November 12, 1983 in Baltimore, Maryland. She peacefully left us to be with her Lord on March 22, 2018. Katrina accepted Christ at an early age. She was baptised by the late Rev. Dr. George A. Crawley, Jr. at St. Paul Baptist Church, Baltimore, Maryland. Katrina joined “The Little Voices of St. Paul Choir” under the direction of Mrs. Lena Ampadu. She participated in Vacation Bible School and other activities at the church. Katrina's first school experience was at Oak Ridge Nursery School at the age of three. At four, she continued her education at Powhatan Elementary School. She was ten years old when she entered Woodlawn Middle School. She drove one Middle School teacher crazy because she completed her classwork so fast. Katrina breezed through Woodlawn Middle School into Woodlawn High School. Katrina applied to and was accepted into the Magnet Program at Woodlawn High School. Upon graduating from Woodlawn High School, Katrina received a full scholarship to Towson State University. At Towson, Katrina studied journalism. She soon realized that her interest lay in film. After years of study, Katrina graduated with a B.S. From Towson University in 2007. During her professional career, Katrina worked for iMagicLab and System Source before finally ending up at Realty Tools where she found her comfort level and formed lasting bonds. Katrina had many dreams. She loved animals. When she was younger, she wanted to be a veterinarian. Although she didn't become a veterinarian, through the years she had pet chameleons, iguanas, and geckos. For a minute she thought about being a teacher. However, after watching her mother work twelve hours a day five day a week and on the weekends, she quickly changed her mind. Katrina loved reading and writing. She wrote stories, poems, and articles. She was fortunate enough to have an article published in The Baltimore Sun newspaper. Katrina liked listening to all kinds of music and watching movies of all genres. She was enthralled by books, shows, and movies that were scary and full of suspense. The X-Files television show was her favorite. She had an extensive collection of X-Files memorabilia. Steven King was her favorite author. She read all of his books and watched the movies made from his books. She enjoyed critiquing movies. Katrina was smart and computer savvy. She could do almost anything on a computer. Katrina was a quiet, gentle yet vibrant spirit that will now live on in the dreams of those who love her. Katrina enjoyed spending time and traveling with family and friends. She had a great sense of humor, beautiful smile, and quiet strength. Katrina was extremely supportive, kind, caring, sensitive, and intuitive. She will be greatly missed. Katrina leaves to cherish her memory: her loving parents, Fannie and Paul, Jr.; one sister, Kimberly; one brother, Paul III/Joey; boyfriend, Brandon MoragneEl; best friends, Laura and Michael Reinhardt, and Kesiah Moore; three aunts: Bertha Lewis, Ruth Brown (Minister John, Sr.), and Patricia Gail Marshall (Willie, Jr.); two uncles: James Moore, Jr. and Thaddeus Thomas Moore (Pamela); two great aunts: Lorraine Castle (Clarence) and Rosa Simms; twenty-one cousins: Ellis Michael, Jr. (Shirldine), Rene (Philip), Irving (Regina), Sheila, Terry, Karen (Howard), Erik (Kim), Crystal, John, Jr. (Nikki), David, Shawn, Brandon, Melissa (Gregory, Jr.), Stacey (Darlingston), Elaine, Sheera, James Andrew (Kesiah), Sean, Rhoda, Rodney, and Juanita (Daryl); and a host of family and friends.
