Katrez Tyreese Bryant

Legacy of Life Katrez Tyresse Bryant, was born in Richmond, Virginia to Monica Taylor and Robert Bryant on March 29, 2001. On Monday, February 17, 2020, God heard Katrez cry out so the Lord extended out his hand to bring Katrez home. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Adrian "Dre" Harris, Shirl Stewart; great grandmother, Olivia Bryant and his uncle Torick Lewis. He was educated in the Richmond Public Schools where he attended John Marshall High School and received his GED through the Adult Learning Center. He later went to a military program at Commonwealth Youth Academy in Virginia Beach for six months. Upon completion of that program, he signed up to go the Barber School, but the timing was not right because of his age. He formerly worked at the Diamond and Cookout. He was affectionately known as "Boogie" by this family and friends. He loved sports so much that he often played football, soccer and Tball through the Richmond Parks and Recreations Centers. He was passionate about his professional football team, the Redskins which he would boast about often. They could do no wrong in his eyes. Boogie had a unique ability to make all of his family feel as though they were special. He was a young man full of hope, joy and love towards others. Boogie was our delight. He leaves to cherish his loving mother, Monica Taylor; father, Robert Bryant; brothers, Finesse Taylor, Robert Bryant, Jr., Tylik and Mekhi Bryant; grandmother, Phyllis Bryant; two great grandparents, Julia Harris and Madelyn Camerson; five aunts, Jessica Stewart, Whitney Randolph and Angela Lewis; two devoted, Brandy and Jai Bryant; three great aunts, Sandi Newsom, Terri Harris and Bobbie Jean Bryant; five uncles, Jawuan, Arnete and Rashaad Brown, Derrick and Derrell Walker; a devoted godmother, Deirdre Brown; caring godfather, Lashaun Jackson, a host of other relatives and friends. A Word From Boogie Please...live life God's way! While everything will try to drag you off track, I promise, you will never regret it! God has a good life in store for-so go get it by His grace!
