Joleen D. Ferguson

Hello Family and Friends, I was born into this world as Joleen Denise Ferguson on Saturday, September 10, 1977 as the baby girl to the late Joseph Ferguson and Pastor Earleen Weems Ferguson Henderson. Although that was my government name I was also known as JoJo, Momma, Fats, Fergie, Baby Sis and Lena to many! I received my education in the Baltimore City Public Schools system attending, Waverly Elementary, Chinquapin Middle, Northern High School, and graduated from Harbor City High with my High School diploma. Being a child of Earleen I was introduced to God from the womb! We worshiped at Wilson Park CC Church where I was on the choir, usher board and one of the original members of the Women of Worship dance ministry. I've also attended Bibleway Missionary Baptist Church and lastly The New Bethlehem Baptist Church. Some of my favorite songs were long as I Got King Jesus by Vicki Winans, I need just a little more Jesus by Ericka Campbell and Better Days by Leandria Johnson. I've had various jobs over the years working as a residential counselor and within the hospitality field. I loved to help others in any way I could. A servant's heart with a smile. "To know me was to Love Me!" Outside of work, I loved a good party, with music, dancing, and good food. I was the life of the party and would cook to make sure all were fed. My house was known as the "do drop in " as many would just come pass and the party would begin. Out of all things in life my greatest accomplishments God allowed me to give birth of my boys Charles, Justin, Jayden, and Jordan. I loved them unconditionally and I know they loved me too. In addition to birthing my boys, I had bonus children; Treasure, Kwantaz, Ryan, Reggie, Demetrius and a host of others who would call me momma. There was nothing I was not willing to do for any of them. In 2018 my heart broke when Charles my first born was tragically taking away from us. I tried with everything in me to hold on but the pain was far too great to bear. God knew I was tired and need to rest so He called me home. I will truly miss you all and want you to remember all the good times, laughs, party, and food. To my Family: Mommy, I love you unconditionally and thank you for your never ending sacrifices. Godmothers Hope Maddox, and Madie Stewart thanks for unconditional love. My boys Justin, Jayden, Jordan always remember no matter what that mommy loved you beyond measure and Chucky and I will be watching over you. To My Friends, Extended Family and Co-Workers: Don't forget to tell the important people in your life that you love them; because tomorrow is not promised to any of us. I don't want anyone to be sad but think on all the great, crazy, and fun times we had. There are so many of you that it would take my sister of mine forever to list you. But what is known doesn't have to be explained. Each of you know the role you played in my life and what place you have in my heart! Continue to look out for my babies and keep them covered. Well my assignment is complete, God signed off on it and as we know even if we question Him, He has the final say! So on Saturday, February 15, 2020, He came and gave me my wings. My journey is over Daddy (Joseph), Pop (Leroy), and Charles (Son) I am coming to join you. I would love to thank each and every one of you for being in my life the pass 42 years.
