John F. Roane

On Saturday April 14,2018, at 2;36, The father in His infinite wisdom instructed an Angel to bring one of His own home. John Fitzgerald Roane ,named after the beloved President, was born October 21, 1965 the fourth of five children born to Gladys and Lewellyn Roane. Affectionately known as 'John-Boy then johnny,he began his formal education in the Baltimore City Public School System,graduating from Mergenthaler Vocational-Technical High with a certificate in Electrical Construction Maintenance in 1983. Johnny every aspect of high school life. He especially loved attending proms. He went to so many proms, we ended up buying two tuxedos, a black one and a white one, to eliminate the rental fees.He continued after after he graduated ,until someone teasing,advised him he would soon run into a teacher that he had escorted to the prom at one time. He began his Christian walk at an early age first at Southern Baptist Church when he got older he attended The Good Tidings Baptist Church participating in various youth and young adult programs at both. Occasionally he would still attend Southern's morning service, for that was home to him.To know Johnny was to love him, make no mistakes he had his demons but his faith in God never wavered. He seved in the U.S Armed Forces and Reserves for several years,earning a Honorable Discharge in 1995. Trhere he honed his ski9lls for mechanical repair,receiving several certificates as well. Johnny was resourceful and was not afraid of hard work. He worked various jobs throughout his adulthood.At one time he was working two-full-time and a part-time job to achieve his dream of owning his first car.He was artistic,able to draw things he had seen ,at times he created his own cards and letters,he loved practicing the art of Calligraphy(the fancy handwriting).Johnny loved roller skating and fishing and did so whenever he could. He was a practical joker,and would do things to get a laugh and notalways at appropriate times. Johnny would help and assit anyone,he was well known for running errands,doing minor repairs for the neighbors,friends and family and just being where he was neede,whenhe was needed. He was truly a jack-of-all-trades,there wasn't too much he couldn't fix or repair. He was a great uncle to his nieces and nephew often helping with homework,providing trats and sometimes just chatting on the phone with them they needed to talk. He will forever be remembered by the people whose lives he touched. He leaves to mourn;his son,Tevin Roane;his sisters,Rosylina Roane,Jacqueline Roane-Griffin and Shenna Roane-Hammons;two brothers,Darrell Roane and Jermaine Brooks;brother-in-law,Thomas Griffin;nieces, Gabrielle,Kyndal,Racquel,Denise and Margaret;two nephews, Matthew and Ian; three aunts, Leverna Pollard,DR.Clara Mayes and Evangelist Shirley Roane;uncle Roy Pollard;five great-nieces and nephews,Anlyah,Nathaniel,Christina,Eliyanna and Jymier;his honoray God-parents,Brenda and Fred Bonds;honorary brothers, Roland Epps, Bruce Brown, Stven Watson,Troy Williams and David Barnett; favorite cousin, Overseer Kelvin A.Roane Sr.; a devoted and lovingJocelyn Johnson and her grandson, Kiyan; numerous cousins,friendsand neighbors far too many to mention, but not not wanting to forget.
