John Purnell Person

John Purnell Person Jr. was born July 14, 1991 to his proud parents, John Purnell Person Sr. and Synthia Hawkins-Person at Franklin Square Hospital in Baltimore County. John was a happy baby and even happier little boy as he grew up side by side with his big sister Atia.John received his education in Baltimore city and St. Louis city school systems and was starting the Fall semester at BCCC Liberty Campus.John loved spending time with his family and friends. Everywhere he went, he made tons of friends. He enjoyed singing, playing football, video games, and staying on the computer and the phone all the time. He was a member of Spirit and Truth New Testament Christian Church in west Baltimore. He was a positive figure in his neighborhood. He sold frozen cups to the children in the area, even if they didn't have the money he gave them what they wanted. John always went out in the parking lot and played football with the children in the block including his own brothers and sister. He was a protector of all and harmer of none. He touched everybody's heart he came in contact with.At seventeen years old, John was shot in front of his home August 7, 2008, and was called to glory August 16,2008, after spending a short tine in Shock Trauma in a coma. Even in death he saved six people loves by being an organ donor. He will be greatly missed.He leaves to mourn mother, Synthia Hawkins, father John Person Sr. Step mothers, Talia Person and Akilah Muhammad. Step Father Alexander Clark, Grandparents Mary Hawkins, Hosea and Beatrice Hyde, Alvin Clark, John and Vivian Person, and Audrey Hill great grandfather, Leroy Cannday and great grandmother Margaret Divers. Sister: Atia Hawkins, Jade Clark, Meelana Hawkins, Beatrice Person, the late Diamond Person Brothers: Alexander Clark Jr., Akil Muhammad, Dennis Price Jr. Khamari Hawkins-Bendy, Ahmed Muhammad, Hosea Person, Jonathan Person, Akil Muhammad, and Ali Muhammad. One niece: Amira Hawkins. God parents Faison and Paula Sampson, God sister Quristine Jones. Aunts: Patrina Thompson, Deldrena Hawkins, Bernice Henson, Tina Hill, Betty-Carol Hawkins, Nancy Hawkins, Darlene Bobbitt, Nichole Parson, and Nicole Robinson. Uncles: Nathaniel Hawkins, Kevin Hawkins, Gregg Hill, and Timothy Robinson, Levvy Thompson, Timothy Hall. And an extremely large host of other cousins, family and special friends.
