John Thomas Harvey III

John Thomas Harvey III, the second child of John T. Harvey Jr. (deceased) and Carolyn O. Harvey was born in Baltimore, Maryland at Sinai Hospital on September 27, 1968. He departed this earth on March 14, 2023. John, affectionately known as Jae to friends and J.T. to family members, was a loving, caring man. He was educated in Baltimore City Public Schools and graduated from Northern High School in 1987. As a young boy, John enjoyed playing baseball with the Northwood Baseball League and football with the Loch Raven Football League. Immediately following graduation, he joined the United States Navy. He married Sabrina Ennis and was blessed by this union with his son, DeVohn. Upon completion of the Armed Forces, he held various managerial positions. He moved to Seattle, Washington in 1997 and worked with our cousins, Dr. Mona Harrison (deceased) and JoAnn Cambers, in their Holistic Medicine Practice, which he absolutely loved. As a result of this experience, John obtained a mentoring leadership style and worked in a supervisory role at various businesses such as Rent A Center, The Arc of Baltimore, and McCormick Spice Company. He began working at CHEP USA as an Operations Supervisor in September 2022. He loved his position which allowed him to use his supportive leadership style to serve and empower his staff. John showed his colleagues and staff members a mentoring caring spirit that touched them all in a short amount of time. He loved advocating for his team as he believed that all deserve a second chance because God blessed him with a second chance. John had a genuine love for his family. John loved to dance and have a good time, You would often find him at a popular Baltimore Night club that he loved because "everyone knew his name" and he could have a good, wholesome time with his cousin, Cynthia. John's most recent hobby was shopping for "Nice Gear" as he would call it and decorating his place with a style unlike, any other. His smile, personality, and spirit were infectious; he will truly be missed and every memory of the man he was will be thoroughly treasured. John T. Harvey III is survived by his son, DeVhon Harvey; his mother Carolyn Harvey; his sisters Dawn Muhammad (Kenya), Katrice Wiley (Kevin), and Jordan Sherpa (Dorje); his brothers Christopher Harvey and Justin Harvey; his aunt Karen Greene (Collace); his uncles Carl Rucker and Brian Rucker; his nieces, Julia Atopley (Kelvin), Aminah Muhammad, and Kalia Wiley; his nephews, Isma'il Muhammad, Nicholas Sampson, and Kevin Wiley II, and a host of cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends.
