NeumanJohn Darrell Pinkney Edwards, a native of Baltimore, Maryland was born on December 12, 1959 as the second son to the late Delbert Pinkney Edwards and Mary Jean Edwards, John departed this life on Saturday, August 2, 2003, at the University Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.John Darrell Pinkney Edwards was known to his family and friends as Darrell (AKA) Apple Jack. Darrell was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. He united in marriage with Jacqueline Spriggs Vinson on March 5, 2001. He grew u on the West Side of Baltimore City. He met many people in his daily journeys and was known throughout Baltimore City by many. Darrell had a remarkable ability to communicate with others. This was one of his greatest assets. It was often said he would have made a great salesman. In his younger day, Darrell was an outstanding roller skater and dancer. Many were charmed by his fairness. Later, Darrell loved to read books filled with mystery and suspense. He took pride in making sure that he stayed abreast of daily current events. He loved his family and was proud of their accomplishments. One thing people could say about Darrell, was that he had a really big heart.Throughout his life, Darrell never sat still. E engrossed in the daily hustle and bustle, feverishly. He lived his life on the fast track. He was always excited and when he was around, everyone knew he was there. There was never a dull moment when Darrell was around. His roaring presence will truly be missed.Darrell leaves to cherish his memory, a wife, Jacqueline Spriggs Vinson Edwards, a devoted aunt and second mother, Jacqueline Holland, two loving brothers, Del Duayne Edwards and Derrick Leroy Tucker, one dedicated sister-in-law, Margie R. Edwards, his loving nephew and niece, Del Justin and Ashley Cierra Edwards, and a host of other nieces and nephews, caring aunts and uncles, Shirley Townes, Webbie and Anginette Brown, Ernestine Robinson, Keith and Ruth Robinson and many cousins and friends.
