Jimmy Lee Graham

Jimmy Lee Graham was born in Guilford County,North Carolina, on January 15, 1955, to Clarence Graham and Leola Bartelle(Graham). Jimmy earned his wings on Monday July 3, 2023. Jimmy grew up in Richmond's Northside Community and attended John Marshall High School. Jimmy was employed at MCV prior to obtaining a job at Owens and Minor Distribution Center where he retired in 2014 after 25 years of service. He received numerous awards for perfect attendance and appeared in the newspaper. Jimmy accepted Christ at an early age and joined Trinity Baptist Church in Richmond, under the leadership of Rev. W.D. Adkins. In 1983 Jimmy married Debra Cook. He has two sons, Cory and Roderick Cook who they affectionately call him Pop. He was a doting father, friend and confidante. He had a special bond with his nephew Antwon Graham. Jimmy loved sports, his favorite football team was the Miami Dolphins and basket team was the Golden State Warriors. Jimmy swears the NBA missed out when they did not choose him to play. Jimmy never met a stranger. He could talk to a brick. He was a great listener and was very playful. He loved to tease and joke with everyone. He loves his grandchildren,nieces, and nephews. He was known for his contagious smile. He loved making people smile. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; Clarence Graham and Leola Bartelle. Siblings Freddie and Charlie Graham, James and Barry Bartelle. Jimmy was the fifth of ten children. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife,Debra Graham,sons Corey and Roderick Cook, five grandchildren,Jalen,Alyssa, Sebastian, Jasper and Phoenyx, two aunts; Rosa Crump,Doris Glenn,two brothers; Calvin (Pamela) and Stanley Bartelle (Courtney) ,three sisters; Vanessa Walker,Yvonne and Deborah Graham. Lifelong friend Michael Thomas, and a host of other relatives and friends. Jimmy enjoyed the simple things in life,like walking in freshly fallen snow,star gazing while lying in the bed of his pickup truck,peaceful drives down a quiet country road,looking at the shapes in the clouds and driving Ms. Daisy. Jimmy lived by Ephesians 4:2. Be completely humble and gentle,be patient bearing one another in love.
