Jessica Yolanda Green

Jessica Yolanda Green, affectionately known as Jess or Lil Bit, was born on Monday, September 8, 1986 to Nadine Yolanda Ayala and Ivan Green. She departed this life and received her wings on Saturday, April 28, 2018. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mary and Alphonza Threadgill, Yolanda Beatrice Ayala, Willie Mae, and Herman Green. Jessica was full of life and was driven by her favorite quote by Henry Rollins. "You must do what others don't to achieve what others won't". She embodied that spirit in all she attempted as a young parishioner, student and tireless worker. Jessica received her sacraments at St. Elizabeth's and St. Augustine's Catholic Churches respectively. She was a graduate of All Saints Catholic School and Meadowbrook High School. She pursued her LPN and completed her CNA certification at Centura College before joining the Fed Ex Ground team, where she was employed over five years. Jessica was a proud and dedicated employee of Philip Morris until her untimely death. Jessica inherited her grandmothers' loving and giving spirit. From an early age she was very passionate about helping others. As a young adult she continued to volunteer and found joy in the smiles her deeds would bring others. She looked forward to each Christmas holiday shopping season as she was voted the "Santa" shopper for the families adopted each year by her Philip Morris team. Jessica always enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was especially fond of her time spent with her mini-me, Jaliyah. Her infectious laugh and witty sense of humor always made her the center of many gatherings and celebrations. She leaves to cherish her memory a loving daughter, Jaliyah A. Winston; parents, Nadine Ayala and Herman Jones, Ivan Green; sisters, Ashley Jones, Brittney Jones-Edwards (Jon); brothers, Sean E. Lee, Brandon and Tyler Jones, Aaron Coleman; grandmother, Gladys N. Jones; grandfather, John N. Lima Jr. (Fern); grandparents, Kary and Mary Lee; two nieces, Skarlett and Giselle Jones; four nephews, Jared Edwards, Jayden and Jayceon Lee, Logan Johnson; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
