Jessica Acevedo

On October 19, 1979, the Lord sent us one of His precious angels, JESSICA LEE ACEVEDO, to bless us all in her beautiful spirit. She was born in Brooklyn, New York to Waldestrudis Acevedo and the late Maria Vazquez.She received her education in New York's Parochial School, The Old St. Patrick Elementary School, successfully completing, thus attending Cathedral High School. At the age of seventeen after completing high school successfully she attended Mount St. Mary's in Frederick, Maryland, where she completed one year of college. She had a vast career resume with the State of Maryland, to help homeless and the less fortunate of the community apply for SSI. This was one her many passions in life because she became the voice for those who didn't have one.Jessica was a member of the Refuge Way of the Cross Church. On April 16, 2008 Jessica reconnected with her soulmate Antione J. Ennis Sr. Together they were raising her three children and his three children.Jessica was known for her love of old school rap, her sense of caring and great compassion with a light sense of humor. She would always lend a helping hand and open up her home to those who were in need. She made friends in every city that she visited and lived. She had a deep love of food and a passion for cooking. She enjoy getting lost in reading various types of books.Although Jessica acquired many “children” throughout her brief life, there was nothing to deny her love of her children. She touched countless lives and will deeply be missed. Those people touched by Jessica will forever remember her warmth and friendship. Jessica we love you, we miss you and we will always remember you!Jessica leaves to cherish her precious memory: her children, Jermaine “EJ,” Javone “JW,” and Christian “AC;” her adopted children, Ashley, Antione Jr., Devin; her soulmate, Antione Sr.; her sisters, Tiffany, Wendy and Michelle; her brothers, Joseph, Chris and John; her father, Waldestrudis Acevedo, and stepmother, Madelyn; her grandfather, Eduardo, and grandmother, Leonides. She also leaves to mourn a host of other relatives and friends.
