Jesse N. Williams Jr.

JESSE NORMAN WILLIAMS JR., son of the late Jesse N. Williams Sr. and Chief Apostle Julia M. Williams, was born on April 17,1958 in Warrenton, North Carolina. He departed this life on January 28, 2015 after a lengthy illness. Jesse received his formal education in the Baltimore City Public Schools. He later furthered his education at Delaware Technical Community College (DTCC) in Georgetown, DE. There he earned a certification in Commercial Transportation. Over the course of his life, Jesse spent the majority of his work career as a commercial truck driver. However, in 1984, he honed in on his entrepreneurial skills when he started his own business: [esco Janitorial Services. He would continue this business for the next four years. In 1988, Jesse returned to commercial truck driving. He had a true passion for over-the-road driving. On March 12, 1990, Jesse married Gloria E. Cheatham and moved to Dover, Delaware. After their marriage, Jesse returned to school at DTCC to earn a second certification in Heavy Equipment Operations. This made way for his latter and final career move as a Heavy Equipment Operator. Jesse loved life and his family. He especially enjoyed sharing his philosophy on life with his nieces and nephews. He had many talents and passions. He enjoyed cooking for his family and friends. This love led him to start the culinary program in his mother's church, Holy Temple Holiness Church of Deliverance, Inc., where he was a lifetime member. "Bud" as he was affectionately called by his wife really knew his 'way around a kitchen. Jesse believed in giving your best and that started with looking your best. This was evident in his attire which he always complemented with a hat. Jesse was preceded in death by his father, Jesse N. Williams Sr.; mother, Julia M. Williams; sister, Vanessa J. Williams-McCain; brother, Linwood Williams, Sr.; brother-in-law, James "Curly" McCain, and sister-in-law Mingdora Williams. Jesse leaves to cherish his memory: his loving, dedicated, and faithful wife, Gloria E. Williams; five children, Larissa (Robert) Carson of Baltimore, MD, Jermaine (Dorcas) Conyers of Edgewood, MD, Jessica Jones of Afton, VA, Jesse N. Williams III of Edgewood, MD and Tory (Cinnell) Tolson of Dover, DE; one sister, Greta (James) Tilghman of Forest Hill, MD; three brothers, Michael (Donna) Williams of Felton, DL, Thomas A. Williams of Baltimore, MD, and Jerry Wheatennia) Williams of Houston, TX; three brothers-in-law, William (Desiree) Tolson of Hampton, VA, David Tolson and Gregory (Carol) Tolson of Dover, DE, and Steven Tolson of Killeen, TX; three sisters-in-law, Delores (Joseph) Benson, Patricia Tolson, and Mary Tolson all of Dover, DE; one aunt, Alma (Stonewall) Jackson; one uncle, Charlie (Annie) Williams; nine grandchildren: Keon Lemon, Kenise Carson, Ka'Nyia Carson, Jermaine Conyers, Jr., Juliana Conyers, Arianna Williams, De'Attra Jones, Marquis Tolson, and Victoria Tolson; three great-grandchildren, Ja'nasia Hall, Ja'rnonte Carson and Serenity Jones; one goddaughter, Tiffanie Crenshaw; one great-godson,J'Niah Crenshaw; and host nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
