Jennifer E. Frazier

JENNIFER ELIZABETH FRAZIER, daughter of the late Travis and Jenny White, was born on June 19, 1948 in Baltimore, Maryland. She departed this life before we could say our loving goodbyes, on October 19, 2007.Jennifer received her education at Frederick Douglass High School where she was an honor student, French Club Queen and President; and the 1966 Homecoming Queen for her class. She went on to receive her post-secondary education from Morgan State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in June, 1971; and then attending Loyola College, earning a Master of Education, in January 1989. A Baltimore City Public School teacher for 34 years, 11 of which were served as a consulting teacher, she retired on June 7, 2006, serving her last years at Cross Country Elementary School. Throughout her career, she provided academic support and leadership, serving as Scholastics Club President, Director of Summer and After School Programs (for 3 years), and co-writer of a math unit on fractions for the NSA.Jennifer enjoyed an active social life. She gained many friends, sorority sisters, and travel companions. Her affiliations and memberships include: Les Gemmes (Baltimore City); International Reading Association; the RosettesClub; Phi Delta Kappa Sorority where she was recipient of the Good Standing of Gamma Chapter award, from the National Society, July 1994; The Grand Chapter Order of the Eastern Star - Daughters of Job where she wasrecipient of both an honorary diploma by the Eastern Star- Naomi Grand Chapter, May 2000, and a complimentary degree, Queen of the South-Eastern Star, October, 1999. She also enjoyed many hobbies and leisure activities such as singing, dancing, bowling, reading, traveling and writing.Known for her smiles, Jennifer will be remembered as good-humored, talkative, popular and very friendly. Jennifer lived the motto that a friend in need, is a friend in-deed. She readily offered an ear to listen, a friend to catch up with the latest gossip, and at times a shoulder to lean on and anencouraging word.Jennifer, sometimes called Jen, Jennie, and Princess, and most fondly remembered as Mommy, Mama and Dear, was predeceased by her parents, and one daughter, Stacy. She leaves to mourn: two sons, Eric Frazier, Jr. and Christopher Frazier, Two daughters-in-law, Paula Frazier, and Kim Frazier.One sister, Mary Hood, four grandchildren, Morgan, Eric III, Gabrielle and Miles, an ex-husband, Eric Frazier, Sr., five brothers-in-law, Wayne Frazier,Sr., the late Enoch Hood, Jr., Jonathan Scott, Alfred Bates, and Anthony McKoy, Sr., five sisters-in-law, Saundra Bates, Alicia Frazier, Cathy Frazier, Monica Scott, and Andrea McKoy, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, life-long friends, colleagues and co-workers.Jennifer, as heart-broken and surprised as we are by your sudden departure, you will be missed, loved and cherished.
