Jeffrey W. Bond

Jeffrey Warren Bond, son of Myrtle Keene Bond and the late Edward Bond, was born on November 28, 1953 in Baltimore, Maryland. He peacefully went to be with Lord on August Friday 23, 2013. Jeff, as he was affectionately called, was a graduate of Lake Clifton Senior High School. After high school, he listed in the United States Army. As a young adult, before the onset of his physically disabling condition, he worked at various city and private establishments. Jeff loved and enjoyed his famil, especially the children and young adults. He was the father of one beautiful, adoring daughter Maria Taylor-Branch. Though he and Maria did not always spend a lot of time together, their bond has always been strong. He loved her and she loved him. Jeff was gifted with a keen intellectual and creative mind. He had many interest and informed opinions He was an avid reader and loved to engage his friends and vistors in a good political debate or current events discussion. He was also a big fan of professional and college football and basketball. You could generally find him in front of the TV when a game was on. You could be sure that when the Baltimore Ravens or Maryland Terps were on, “he was on it,” with full enthusiasm. Writing and sketching were also his passions. He loved to draw, write poems, essays and spiritual meditations. His favorite poets were Langston Hughes and Maya Angelou. .Jeff knew the Lord and spent time every day reading his Bible. His favorite scripture was 2 Timothy, Chapter 1, verse 7, “For God hath not given us given us the spirit of fear; but the power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” Hwe wrote a beautiful poem entitled “Today” just days before he took flight to be with the Lord. We know that Jeffrey is resting in peace with Lord. He leaves to rejoice and cherish his memory: his loving devoted mother, MrytleK. Bond; a wonderful adoring daughter, Maria Taylor Branch; two beautiful grandchildren, Irvin (Wink) Buckson and April Taylor; a dedicated reliable sister, Arlene cole; one brother, Welton (Bubbie) Keene, (three brothers preceded him in death, Andrew, Reggie, Freddie,); many nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews including his favorite, Kaniya Faison); many nieces and nephews, a dependable caregiver and buddy, Rhonda Allen; and many other family members and friends.
