Jeanette Paige

JEANETTE LOIS THORPE PAIGE was born on March 27, 1948 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Willie E. Thorpe and Dorothy M. Harris. Jeanette received her education in the Baltimore City Public School System. In Jeanette's younger years she worked for the Maryland School For The Blind. Jeanette later married and became a dedicated housewife and a devoted mother of nine children, which then became her passion and full time job. Her heartfelt quote was, “If I don't do anything right in life, one thing I did was give birth to nine beautiful children.” As her children became of age along with her husband, Jeanette became an entrepreneur and co-owner of Jerry's Auto Interiors. Jeanette held various jobs, but later went back to her passion by helping her children reinforce family values and helping with the raising of her grandchildren. Jeanette enjoy spending time with her children and her grandchildren enduring her love and affection towards them. Jeanette enjoyed family gatherings, dancing, singing, outdoor activities; such as skating, bowling, seeing a movie and dining out with the family. Jeanette showed her love and support by attending every function that each of her children and grandchildren were active in, even for the birth of her grandchildren. No matter how tired she was after her dialysis treatment, she gathered up enough strength to go to Giant's to purchase a bag full of goodies for her grandchildren knowing they would soon be visiting her. Whenever you saw Jeanette, you were greeted with a smile and a pleasant conversation. Even up to Jeanette's last days, you never knew her troubles for she never complained. Jeanette received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, and was baptized in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit on April 25, 2010 and joined New Shiloh Baptist Church. Jeanette departed this life to eternal peace on August 16, 2010 at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland following a lengthy illness. Jeanette leaves to rejoice in her living : two brothers, Gregory Sr. and Carter; seven children, Deborah, Tanya, Timothy, Jerome, Darlene, Marian and Veronica; seventeen grandchildren, Sade', Keyaira, Keshaun, Dameon, Shyne' , Michael, Jazmine, Shikeara, Shiqueda, ShaiQuahn, Countney, Devin, Jameria, Tysheara, Jertariana, Jordan, and Calvin; three great-grandchildren, Zaire, Jaelyn and Adrian; two nephews, Tony and Shawn; one daughter -in-law, Tara; one son-in-law, Amos; a family friend, Desiree Fair, and a host of other relatives and friends. Jeanette was preceded in death by two brothers, Willie and Larry; two children, Michael and Cynthia; one nephew, Gregory Jr.
