Jason A. Brooks

JASON AARON BROOKS, son of the late Jerome Brooks and Novella Gardner was born on August 31, 1984 in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life and went on to be with Lord on May 6, 2015 when the Lord decided to call Jason home after his long struggle with a rare brain illness. Jason received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System where he excelled and graduated. At the tender age of 18 Jason was diagnosed with a life threatening illness that led to his untimely death. Jason was a kind and tender soul despite his illness which eventually took his mobility and vision. Jason was a ray of hope and a beam of sunshine to all who knew him. Throughout his illness Jason came in contact with many people and touched many heart. Before losing his sight Jason was very active and enjoyed many indoor as well as outdoor activities, but most of all Jason loved to spend quality time with his family. During his time of illness, although completely immobile, Jason loved to watch television with his caretakers and family Jason enjoyed the occasional outing to family and friends, and it was those simple pleasures of Jason’s and the simplicity of his joy for life that made him so special. Always keeping a smile, Jason was able to warm your heart on your darkest day. Due to his untimely illness at the very peak of his life, Jason was never able to marry or have children which left him with the ability to be the Angel and light that God created him to be for his family. Jason was proceeded in death his father, Jerome Brooks. He leaves to mourn his mother , Novella Gardner; step father, James Henry; grandmother , Virginia jennings, nine sisters, Marcia Brooks, Catrina Brooks, Jospehin Gaines Johnson, Felicia Gaines, Jervella Brooks, Chanell Brooks, Jennifer Henry, Lanetta Scott, and Mirinda Yancy; eight brothers,Gerard Brooks , Carlos Brooks, Jerome Keatin, Demario Henry, De'Andre Henry, Marvin Jenry, Shawn Franklin and Blake Shaw; three Brothers-in-law, John Thomas , Maurice Blue, Gregory Rochester (preceded him in death); four sisters-in-law, Tahmora Barnett-Brooks, Kia Brown, Ariell Horton and Shanika Vessells; seven aunts, Gloria Ricks, Joan Smith, Brenda Jennings, Linda Wilson, Velma Jennings, Bernice Willis, Mary Brown, Mary McDaniel; two uncles, Robert Jennings and James McDaniel; great-aunts, Gloria Bracey; great uncle, Melvin Bracey; forty=nine nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
