Jane E. Boone

JANE ELIZABETH entered this world on July 4, 1933. She was born in King & Queen County, Owenton, Virginia to Mary Rosa and Samuel Frank Roane. She departed this life on Tuesday, June 4, 2024. Jane attended King & Queen County Training School in Owenton, Virginia. She accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at an early age. She was baptized at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Owenton, Virginia. In 1955 she moved to Baltimore, Maryland with her parents and siblings. Jane was mother to all, taking care of her sibling’s children and helping her mother keep their home in Baltimore. She also did domestic work and was a caregiver and nanny. In the mid-1980’s Jane attended Resurrection Community Church where she met and married the Right Reverend Arthur Boone. Jane helped her husband with his ministries until his death. They exemplified God’s goodness to those who would hear. Jane was right by Arthur’s side helping to win souls for her God. After the death of her husband, First Lady Jane joins with World Changer International Ministries Church, under the leadership of Apostle Darlene Hobson. First Lady is now declared “Mother” of the church and thus titled Mother Boone. One of her favorite services was being an usher for the house of the Lord. She loved directing parishioners to their seats and marching around the church. Mother’s mission continued to be winning souls for Christ. You could not converse with her without her saying “Praise the Lord” or “Praise God”. She truly loved the Lord. Through her days of illness, she never lost her faith. Her funny sense of humor and the old sayings will resonate with us forever- “Stop that foolishness” - “Well you know you’re under the Doctor’s care” and “I’m a little slow on my journey”. Thank you, Lord, for sharing her with us! She leaves to cherish her memory: her daughter, Jacqueline A. Robinson; granddaughter, Breyonna Rogers (Terrence); great-grandson, Terrence Jr.; sisters, Geneva Broaddus (James), Lucille Dennison, Carolyn Wilson (Emmanuel), and Thelma Hill; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Dorothy Robinson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and of course, her beloved Church Family. Preceding her in death are her parents, four brothers Charles, James, Frank and Samuel and two sisters Mary L. Patterson and Mary Alice Leftwich. To God be the Glory for all the Great Things He Has Done
