Janai Brittany White

JANAI BRITTANY WHITE was born on May 9,1987 in Baltimore, MD to Sharon Paraway-Whiteand the late Jeffrey White. Janai departed this life suddenly on February 8, 2024. Janai received her education in the Baltimore City Public School System. She graduated from W.E.B.Dubois Senior High School in 2005. “Fun Fact”---- Janai was Prom Queen in her Senior year of high school. She later went on to the Community College of Baltimore County where she earned her Associate’s Degree. Being the consummate learner, in 2019 Janai earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from the University of Baltimore. Never slowing down, Janai always kept a job, definitely following her Mother’s work ethic-LOL. She always maintained a high level position at some of Maryland’s most prestigious companies, including McCormick & Cloverland Dairy. At the time of Janai’s untimely departure, she held a position as a Procurement Specialist with the State of Maryland. Janai found so much joy in helping people which led to her achieving one of her greatest accomplishments, opening an Assistant Living Home. Janai was a devoted Mother to her greatest loves, Madison and Eean. She was always on the go, going from one place to another being the team mom for Madison and Eean. Whether it was cheer squad, football, or basketball, she always made sure her children participated in some activity. Janai made sure to show her children the world not only through education but through travel. Taking them to concerts to see their favorite artists, such as Beyonce’, Rod Wave, and others. But, no matter where they were, whether home or on a trip around the country, the love she showed them could never be measured. Janai accepted Christ early in her life and later became a member of the Empowerment Temple Church. Janai LOVED TO TRAVEL, from EAST COAST to WEST COAST and EVERYTHING in between, whether planned or last minute, her bags were ALWAYS PACKED and READY TO GO. Janai was a huge music lover, whether with Madison and Eean or by herself, she would travel to see some of her favorite artists. Another “FUN FACT:” Janai LOVED “HOV, JAY-Z” and even got him to sign an album of his, which she cherished. Janai loved and enjoyed shopping, and was the life of the party. Her GREGARIOUS PERSONALITY, with that “raspy voice,” won the hearts of many and left a lasting impression on everyone. If you knew Janai, you knew she was the glue of the family, whether it was her immediate family or her family of friends, and she will be missed. Janai was the most loving, caring, passionate, and the MOST supportive person you would have ever met. Janai touched many lives and will forever be remembered by: her devoted mother, Sharon; daughter, Madison; son, Eean; two brothers, Miguel, Jeffrey White, Jr. (preceded her in death); sister, Janise; three aunts, Terri Bolawa, Cassandra McLean, Yvonne Paraway; four uncles, Ralph Paraway, Michael and Leon (Mark) Paraway (preceded her in death), and Gregory White (preceded her in death); one niece, Mykell White; two nephews, Shane Eley and Julian Elsey; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and many many friends.
