Rev. James T. Mosby

James Thomas Mosby, son of the late Eugene J. Mosby and Angeline Parron Mosby, the youngest of five children, was born December 25, 1966. He was called home to be with his LORD and Savior and received his wings on Friday, October 24, 2014. James, better known as Jimmy, was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System and graduated from Forest Park High School in 1984. Upon graduation, Jimmy enlisted in the United States Air Force (AF) where he served his country faithfully for 10 years. During this time, he received numerous military honors and awards including: AF Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, AF Achievement Medal (2), AF Outstanding Unit Award, AF Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and Service in support of Desert Shield/Storm. Jimmy knew God and worshiped with his family all his life; however he accepted Christ as his personal Savior as a young man. His last ministry assignment was as Assistant Pastor at Word 4 Life Ministries under Pastor, Rev. Harrison Johnson Jr., located in Baltimore, Maryland. He was also due to graduate with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology in May, 2015 from St. Leo University. Jimmy was the proud father of four (4) children and one (1) stepson. He met the love of his life, his best friend Carma, and they were wed on April 29, 2005. James, as everyone knew, was a very outgoing person. He loved to say “He never met a stranger”. One of his many gifts was the gift to talk. He loved to impart his knowledge and wisdom to anyone who would listen. James was an avid reader and music lover. He loved to write and he loved to “cut a rug”. He recently attended his 30th class reunion events and was seen dancing the night away! Jimmy made numerous friends wherever he went and will be sincerely missed by everyone who knew him. He was always a true friend and a devoted family man. James leaves to cherish his memory: his wife Carma, his children Aaron, Joshua, Victoria, David, and his stepson Gabriel, his mother Angeline, his siblings Eugene (Mary), Anthony, and April; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, and other relatives and friends. His sister Joy, preceded him in death.
