James A. McFadden

JAMES ALLEN MCFADDEN JR. was born on February 16, 1971 in Florence, South Carolina to the late James Allen and Betty McFadden Sr. He was the third of five children, the only son. James received Christ at an early age. He recently rededicated his life to Christ on October 28, 2018, at the Pillar of Truth Church of Apostolic Faith, in Baltimore, Maryland. In the early 1980's, James Jr., his mother and siblings relocated from Florence, South Carolina to Baltimore, Maryland. He attended school in Baltimore City at Edmondson High School; however, he graduated from the Maryland Job Corps in Baltimore, Maryland. James had three beloved women of great strength and courage, who were instrumental throughout his child-hood, his mother Ms. Betty Ann McFadden, Great-Grandmother Ms. Annie Mae Jenkins and Grandmother Ms. Ivory Nell Gordon, who all have preceded him in death. James gained experience in the food service, catering and cooking industry where he was employed with various companies. He later found his niche in home improvement, then attained his licensure in roofing and became employed with Turner Roofing in White Marsh, Maryland and subsequently with Rosedale Roofing in Middle River, Maryland. He enjoyed utilizing his skills to work on many home renovation projects. James was a caring husband and friend, a true jokester, he loved laughing and having fun with his family and friends, playing pool, music “Oldies but Goodies”, loved dancing, often called, “Happy Feet”, very thoughtful and helpful; most of all, he loved the Lord and kept the word of God in his heart. His loving wife Cynthia Harrison-McFadden survives him, along with two stepsons Rodney Harrison Jr. and Tavon Harrison. He also leaves behind his best friend and companion, “Goldie”. He was loved by his mother-in-law, Elder Ada Spencer and in-laws, Sharon, Angela, Landon Jr. (Marlene), Carlos (Janee), Andre (Kendall) and all the Spencer Family. He leaves his cherished memory to: his sisters, Betty Blackwell (Wayne), Barbara Makinde (Peter), Brenda McFadden, Andrea Green (Larry), Karen Foote (Calvin); and a step-sister, Lyric Williams. He is survived by uncles, Jackie(Jenniger), Levern (Febbie), James (Sabrina), Ray Charles, Albert, Harry Gordon and Uley McFadden; aunts, Dorothy, Deloris and Linda Gordon, Willa Fondville, Leah Sabb, Linda Hamett, Loris McAvey (Tommy) and Mary McFadden. Uncle Willie Gordon, Aunt Mary Gordon preceded him in death. He also leaves loving memories with his nieces, Shikiara, Shiniara, Jasmine and Joselyn; nephews, Dewayne, Terry, Larry Jr., Emmanuel, Cowan, Marlo; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
