James A. Bell

James Andrew Bell Sr. was born January 13, 1941 to John Henry Bell and Linnie Ree Ellis Bell in Baltimore, Maryland. He was the fourth child from this union and known as the family clown. You never knew what to expect from him a good laugh. James attended #108 Elementary School, #137 Junior High School and Douglas Senior High. He entered into the Air Force on December 12, 1962. On September 13, 1963, he married his childhood, Jean Carl Small and three children were born from this union, Lisa Denise, Tanya LaWan and James Andrew Jr. Later in life he also fathered Makeisha Andrea. However, on September 30, 2019, the family discovered that our beloved was called home to be with the Lord. He was born into Triumph the Church and Kingdom of God in Christ, a church he attended from birth until adulthood. It was also the church that both his father and mother were ministers in. He participated fully in this church as a member of the international choir and attended most of the international sessions far and wide. Much later in life, he joined his godson's church, First Mount Calvary Baptist Church on Fulton Avenue, where he also was a member of their choir and part of their security. He was a spiritual, proud man that loved his family and most of all, The Lord. He could be just as complicated as he was funny, but his family and friends knew that everything he did, was done with love. Every facet of him will be missed. James has been preceded in death by his parents John and Linnie Bell, brothers John Emmanuel Bell and Nathan Malachi Bell and his great-great niece Eden Rosa Ree Moore. He leaves to live on in his legacy three daughters, Lisa Bell, Tanya Bell, and Makeisha Lee, one son, James A. Bell jr., twelve grandchildren, Shana Alexander, Tanaa' Bell, Emmanuel Bell, Courtney Jones, Julian Jones, Jamaal Jones, Zakhiyah Jordan, Naeem Jordan, Cherish Jordan, Kylie Jordan, MiraKal Bell, Dante Lee and one great grandson, Adriel Alexander, four sisters, Martha Whittaker, Mary Bell, Miriam Bell-Frazier, Lydia Bell, two nephews, Michael E. Bell Jr., Dwane Veney (Jackie), two great nieces, Daisha Moore (Tavon) and Diana Calloway, six great nephews, Deontae Veney, Jayden Veney, Anthony Bell, Michael E. Bell III, Gabriel Little and Elisha Moore, as well as a grand host of cousins both far and near.
