Jacqueline Toogood

Jacqueline (Jackie) Toogood was born October 6, 1962 in Brooklyn, N.Y. to Ruth Pittman and John Barksdale. She departed this life suddenly on June 12th, 2004 and went home to be with the Lord.Jackie received her early education in the Public Schools of Edgecombe County, North Carolina. She married Willie Lee Jones and while traveling with him in the Armed Forces, she continued her education and received her High School Diploma in Prunedale, California. From this union, three children were born, Christopher, Torielle and Lashaundra. This marriage ended in divorce.In the early 80’s Jackie relocated to Baltimore, Maryland where she began a new life. She re-dedicated her life to Jesus Christ, was re-baptized and became a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church.Jackie worked many jobs always trying to improve herself. Jackie was a very friendly and energetic person who made friends easily, and loved family gatherings, although she was always late (smile). She was employed as Commitment Records Specialist Manager with the Baltimore City Detention Center/Baltimore Central Booking and Intake Center, Baltimore, Md.-Manager of the C-Shift Staff. She received many awards for her dedication, on being Employee of the Year for the year of 2000.Jackie met her soul-mate, Michael in the early 90’s and after a long courtship, they were united in holy matrimony in “2003.” They united an extended family and they all became one.Jackie leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Michael Toogood, eight children-Christopher, Torielle, Lashaundra, Crystal, Ashley, Lauren, Karmen and Kourtney; six grandchildren, Gage, Rocquelle, Andrielle, Ahamad, Zarielle and Jaden; her mother, Ruth Pittman of New York; one brother, Calvin Pittman of North Carolina, two sisters, Lessie (Linwood) and Freida (Butch); mother-in-law-Yvonne Toogood Johnson (Edward); three sisters-in-law, Karen, Charlene and Barbara; one uncle, Frank (Elsie); and aunt and god-mother; Rev.
