Irvin C. Brown

Irvin C. Brown, Jr., son of Irvin and Margaret Watkins Brown was born on Monday, July 18,1966, at 1:12 a.m. in Baltimore, Maryland. On Wednesday, October 9, 2002, at 3:15 a.m. at the John Hopkins Hospital the merciful hands of God stilled the heart and ceased the pain of our beloved son, father, grandson, brother, uncle and friend. Irvin was educated in the Anne Arundel County School System, graduating in 1985 from Brooklyn Park High School after receiving numerous awards and accolades in sports and scholastic achievements. Realizing he had a soul to save, Irvin joined the New Pilgrim Baptist Church under the pastoralship of Dr. Roosevelt Davenport, Sr. where he attended devotedly until his health no longer allowed him to. Irvin began his rewarding career with Reprographic Technologies where he worked as and FM Operator. He was an exemplary employee for 16 years who was lauded with the title of “employee of the month” for doing what was required of him, plus going out of his job description to assist where ever he was asked by manager Blaise Nealon. Irvin was known and loved by many especially the love of his life Elaine Hall who fondly called him “Luscious”. He was a devoted father who loved and nurtured his two biological children, Irvin III, and Margaret along with Maurice, Nieasha, Ericka, Natalie, AJ, and Ryan. Irvin was an avid waterman; there was no greater joy for him than spending time with (“his buddy, his pal and his friend”) his father. The two of them enjoyed many hours fishing or at the beach on the ski boat. He also enjoyed playing basketball and listening to music.Irvin’s death will be felt by many, but those whom the loss is more vivid includes; his loving and devoted parents, Irvin and Margaret D. Brown; his fiancé, Elaine Hall whom he planned to make his wife in November, two children, Irvin II and Margaret O. Brown; one brother, Richard Dean; one sister, Dawn Hubbard and her husband Stephen; a half-sister, Ericka Keys and her husband Chaz; a devoted grandmother, Cornelia Watkins; two aunts, three uncles, six great aunts, five great uncles, seven nieces and nephews, two loving god-parents, Carl and Dell Grinnage; a special friend and mentor, Elsie Thompson; and a host of other relatives and numerous friends whom all realizes that “Earth hath no sorrow that heaven cannot heal.
