Inez Clarke Mitchell

Inez Clarke Mitchell, daughter of the late Thomas and Alberts Clarke was born on April 26, 1927 in Hanover County, VA. She departed this life Friday, October 7, 2016 at Hemico Doctors Hospital-Parham in Hemico, VA. The oldest of nine siblings, Inez attended Hanover County Public Schools. At an early age she was converted, baptized and became a member of Betbany Baptist Church in Montpelier, VA. In 1984, Inez moved to Hemico, VA. There, she attended tbe St. Peter's Baptist Church and in 2005 she became a member of that congregation. Inez was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and wife. There are so many ways to describe her. She was a strong woman witb a silent faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, which allowed her to humble herself and provide comfort to others in need. She was a gentle, wise, sweet and giving person and always had a kind word to offer. Inez loved her flowers and had one of the most beautiful yard in the neighborhood. She also enjoyed cooking her home cooked meals and mouthwatering deserts as well as reading her books, magazines and working her cross word puzzles. Inez began working at an early age. Her favorite and most cherished employer was Frank & Susan Timpano where she retired after 22 years of service. The Timpano's children Katberine and Steve was tbe love of her life. She was a great child care provider. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Mitchell, daughter, Hildred Wyatt, and siblings, James, Garland and (his twin who died at birth), Viola C. Bradley, C. Lindbergh, Cardwell and Claude Clarke. She leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter Drusilla Mitchell; her devoted son and care giver, Kelvin Mitchell; five grandchildren, Glenda Manuel, Nekishia Wyatt, George Wyatt Jr., Sheena Wyatt, and Mitchell "Mitch" Jackson; four great grandchildren, Samuel "Trae" Manuel, Kendrick Wyatt, Tarryn Pollard and Corinne Wyatt; one great grandson, LeTrae' Manuel; two brotbers, Clarence and Clyde Clarke; and Kathrine (Kurt) Ludwig and their daughter Julia and Steven Timpano who she considered her own. She is also survived by six sisters-in-law, Alice and Elizabeth Mitchell, Edna Jenkins, Beulah, Elsie, and Dorothy Clarke; god children, Elizabeth Mines, Nadine Wyatt and Jennifer Cauthorne (who was like a daughter), many nieces and nephews, two of whom she considered special, T. Allen Giles and Roddy Mitchell, one devoted cousin Ellen Nelson, a devoted neighbor Brenda White, longtime friend, Denise Walker and other relatives and friends.
