Hilda Elizabeth Wright

Hilda Elizabeth Wright was born August 18, 1938 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Jack and Virginia Scott. She was the 11th of thirteen (13) children; eight (8) of which preceded her in death.During her early childhood, Hilda attended St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church in Baltimore, Maryland. Remaining faithful to the Catholic religion, until her death, she was a long time member of St. Agnes Cathedral of Rockville Centre, New York where on any given Sunday when she was able you could find her there serving as an usher. Her faithfulness to devoted time with God exposed her to empowering truths about him-truths which fortified her for the day-in and day-out reality of her remarkable walk of faith. Only the Lord and the knowledge of him could have given her a cheerful heart, strength, power and the determination to glorify God in all she did, including suffering.As an adult, Hilda relocated to Rockville Centre, New Yow where she has lived for 45 plus years. She was employed by the Scheduled Mailing Company as an insert operator for 30 years after which she retired.If you knew Hilda, you would have known her love and affection for her family and friends was extremely important to her. Traveling to Atlantic City was one of her favorite past times. Hilda cooked and fed anyone that came through or even walked by her door. In addition, she became a mother and grandmother to many in the Rockville Centre Community.In her final days, Hilda’s personal nurse and pillar of comfort was her loving grand-granddaughter April Rose. After a lengthy illness, Hilda E.
