In Loving Memory The Legacy of Gloria Jean Williams Sunrise: April 14, 1964 | Sunset: October 17, 2012 To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. Ecclesiastes 3:1 Gloria Jean Williams known affectionately to her family as “GG” was born on April 14, 1964 to Alfred P. Banks and the late Gloria Lee Gaymon. She spent most of her childhood in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and her adult life in Farmville, Virginia. She was educated in the Prince Edward Public School System before moving into the Silver Spring, Maryland area. In November 11, 1979, Gloria was baptized as one of Jehovah’s witnesses. Gloria enjoyed serving Jehovah to the best of her ability and always encouraged her siblings to remain close to Jehovah, with the Hope of the Resurrection, and seeing our mother again in Jehovah’s righteous new world. Gloria touched so many in so many ways that’s unbelieveable. She was loved by many, Gloria enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews, whom she loved so much. She enjoyed going on mini trips with her sisters, but most of all she enjoyed being a momma to her two dogs, Puppi and Killa. Gloria loved her babies. Gloria will be forever missed and loved. She was a very caring, compassionate and supportive person who loved having fun with her family and friends. She was adored and admired by all who knew her. With the wonderful love she shared, she will never be forgotten and will always be in our hearts. She enjoyed being around family and friends and learning the truth about Jehovah God. She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Ian Williams of Washington, D.C.; a loving father, Alfred P. Banks of Chesterfield, VA; two brothers and two sisters, Alfred Banks Jr. of Buckingham, VA, Carrie Tucker (Charles) of Chesterfield, VA, Gerald Banks (Denise) of Glen Burnie, MD, Chontrese Haigler (Maurice) of Baltimore, MD; sister-in-law, June Ferguson of Hamilton Ontario, Canada; two nieces, Mercedes and Ashley; five nephews, Maurion, Greg Jr., Maurice Jr., Jabriel and Rakim; ten aunts, Alberta, Cynthia and Shirley Gaymon of Philadelphia, PA, Elizabeth Patterson of Sicklereville, NJ, Lynda Banks of Farmville, Florence Foster of Richmond, VA, Mildred Cox of Richmond, VA, Barbara Ann Pace of Richmond, VA, Brenda Edmonds of Charlotte, NC and Saundra Woodard of Bowie, MD; eleven uncles, Christopher and James of Philadelphia, PA, Geoffrey, Thurman, Lawrence and Theodore of Farmville, VA, Leroy and Gary of Henrico, VA, Allen Banks of Clinton, MD, Clarence Banks of Philadelphia, PA and Wilbur Banks of Tampa, FL; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. You can only have one Gloria caring, kind and true; no other Gloria in all the world will be the same to you. For all her loving kindness, she asked nothing in return. As we look upon her picture sweet memories we recall,of a face so full of sunshine and a smile for one and all. We miss her and give her all our love. So glad and very proud that we had the relationship we did, how inspiring you were to me.
