Geraldine Missouri

Geraldine Missouri, the beloved daughter of the late Robert Copeland and the late Dorothy Lee (Gary) Mickey, was born on September 11, 1944 in Baltimore, Maryland. She departed this life on July 5, 2015 after a lengthy illness. Geraldine attended and was educated in Baltimore City Public Schools. She was considered to be very mature for her age which is most likely contributed to her being the 'Big Sister' to eleven siblings. Her brothers and sisters adored her quiet, but firm 'outlook' on life. After she married, it was not too hard for her brothers and sisters to find her because she lived only one block away. In 1959, she married the love of her life, Charles H. Missouri, and from this union were seven children born. Geraldine devoted her entire life to be the best domesticated engineer in the world! She took pride in developing each of her children to strive for excellence. She was one of the quickest readers of all times and could finish an entire novel in one day. She was also known to be an advocate for nurturing house plants. She loved to cook so she made sure that her trips to Old Town Mall in Baltimore were worthwhile to prepare good old fashioned meals. She loved to shop for the latest fashions and found creative ways to decorate the home for the family and friends enjoyment. She perfected her talents during 56 years of marriage. Geraldine was an extremely likable person and could easily become your best friend and confidant. This attribute will be sorely missed. She was a member of Mount Pleasant Church and Ministries for 15 years, and was noted for her warm smile and gentle spirit by some of the congregants. The spirit filled guidance she obtained was put to practice daily in her interactions not only with her husband and children but also extended to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Geraldine had one son who preceded her in death; Kenneth Missouri. She leaves to cherish her memory: her devoted husband, Charles H. Missouri; two daughters, Cheryl Missouri and Maxine Missouri; four sons, Christopher (Marilyn) Missouri, Jeffrey (Nekia) Missouri, Gregory (Stacey) Missouri, and Terrance Scott Missouri; five sisters, Vanessa L. Mickey, Tracie Mickey, Celestine Mickey, Jerrietta (Christoper) Braswell, and Yolanda Mickey; three brothers, Robert Mickey, Fulton (Dean) Mickey and Rodney Mickey; seventeen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
