Genette Arrington Lynch

Lynch, daughter of the late Joseph H. Arrington and Lillie Mae Robinson Arrington of Halifax, North Carolina, departed this life on August 9, 2012. She was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph H. Arrington, paternal grandparents, Mary Hawkins Arrington, Joseph H. Arrington, maternal grandparents, Florence Robinson, Matthews Robinson and a grandson, Anthony Ray Lynch. Genette was educated in the Halifax County Public Schools System. At an early age, she gave her life to Christ and was baptized at Daniel Chapel Baptist Church in North Carolina. After moving to Richmond, Virginia, she joined Liberty Baptist Church and later moved her membership to Bethany Baptist Church where she was a faithful member. Genette served in various ministries until her health began to fail. She loved her church family and enjoyed singing in the choir and working diligently in the church. Genette was a wonderful cook and if you ever came to her house she made sure you have plenty to eat. Genette had many hobbies but her passion was cooking, sewing and gardening. She met many friends that have lasted a lifetime. Genette had a beautiful, loving, spiritual and outgoing personality, most of all; she had a great love for God, family and friends. She would always say “I love you” and she really meant it. Genette had a kind, pure and gentle heart towards everyone and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She leaves to cherish your precious memories, a devoted husband of 54 years, George Lynch, Sr., four devoted sons, George A. Lynch,Jr.,(Rita), Jerry D Lynch,Sr.(Brenda), Michael L. Lynch,Sr., and Donald R. Lynch,Sr. all of Richmond,VA; her most precious and devoted daughter who was the sunshine of her life, Jacqueline L. Gordon and devoted son- in- law, Daniel M. Gordon of Richmond, VA, other devoted family included sisters, Lillie Faye Arrington of Richmond, VA and Joyce Ann Arrington of Roanoke Rapids, NC, one brother, Clifton Eugene Arrington, of Richmond, VA; nine grandchildren, the LaTasha Lynch, Tiffany Lynch of Richmond, VA, Shaundria Lynch of Weldon, NC, Michael Lynch, Jr., Jerry Lynch, Jr., Andre Lynch of Louisville, KY, Donald Lynch, Jr., Deon Gordon and Darius Gordon of Richmond, VA; four great -grandchildren, five sisters-in-law, Angeline Evonne, Louise, Barbara Ann, Gloria (James), four brothers-in-law, Charlie (Margaret), Henry( Joyce), Charles (Phyllis) and Kenneth; devoted niece, Gwendolyn Burke, nephew, Johnail Arrington; friends, Yvonne Wright and her buddy, Etta Jones, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
