Gary Davis

On July 17, 2023, Heaven’s gates were opened to welcome home the loving soul of GARY DAVIS KELLY. Gary Davis Kelly was born August 23, 1968, in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Ida Davis Kelly and Robert Kelly. Gary was the 19th of 26 siblings. In such a big family, Gary lived a wonderful life before departing at the age of 54. Gary was educated in the Baltimore City School System, where he earned his GED. As a child, Gary was always been filled with a grand imagination and a flair for creativity. As a teen, Gary could be found working multiple jobs in the restaurant and hospitality industry to buy clothes to go out clubbing. Gary was an impeccable dresser and an Amazing fashion stylist. Long before brands now known to the world, he would often return from his travels to New York wearing those first-run original designs and enlightening us with his knowledge of the fashion industry. Gary made many friends through the years from all over Baltimore, and from New York to DC. Gary is a legend in the Baltimore Club and Dance scene, winning dance and fashion competitions from his youth through adulthood. Gary loved flowers and would attend the annual Baltimore Flower Mart. Gary cultivated his backyard garden and front porch, with beautiful and expensive flowers. Inviting any and everyone to take what they would use from either. Gary loved with a fierceness like no other. To his own detriment at times, it never stopped him from opening his heart to anyone. Gary survived living with a life-changing illness that didn’t prohibit him from living his “Best Life,” while educating others along the way. Gary’s cat Tuxedo was his fur baby who he didn’t mind telling and showing off to everyone. Gary was preceded in death by his parents Ida Kelly and Robert Kelly, sisters Diane Kelly and Elaine Davis, brothers Robert Kelly Jr., George Davis Jr., Bernard Davis and Anthony Davis; loving nieces Siren Davis and Keva Crum, and nephew Robert Kelly III. He leaves to cherish his memory: sisters and brothers, Barbara Kelly, Roslyn Kelly Green, Michael Kelly (Amy), Spencer Kelly (Rose), Kevin Kelly, (Anna Davis*), Rodney Davis, Steven Davis, Felicia Kelly-Crum (Kevin), Christopher Kelly, David Kelly (Connie), Albert Kelly (Keesha), Adrienne Kelly, Tomisha Kelly, Shawn Kelly, Cynthia Lacey (Willie George), Verna Wills (Franklin), Stanley Davis (Dorothy), Karen Davis, Rudolph Davis (Ruth); devoted friend, Dwayne Taylor; goddaughter, Tikia Wright; other family/friends, Miles Mitchell, Tia Broady, Miller Morris and Jodie Bradshaw; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, bonus family members and friends too numerous to count who will mourn this loss and cling to their own special memories of him forever.
