Gary Church

DEACON GARRY LAMONT CHURCH was born on September 9, 1956 in Salisbury, Maryland to the late Irvine Louise Church. He departed this life after a lengthy illness on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 8:30 a.m. to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Deacon Garry Lamont Church’s educational background was from the Salisbury, Maryland School System in Wicomico County. Garry held several jobs in Salisbury which included, working at Dear Head Hospital, planting trees, gardening and a school bus driver. He was affectionately known as “Frizets” and “Honey.” He loved helping people. He had a big heart and was willing to give whatever he had. He never met a stranger. He didn’t love like a family member. After relocating to Baltimore, Maryland he reunited with the love of his life, Priscilla Walker. He refused to let her go; therefore they were wed on April 23, 2003. Garry had a great transformation. He attended Revival Mission and the Holy Ghost Station, under the late Bishop John C. Richardson. He served as a faithful usher. He would get do excited, he would do his Holy Ghost two-step dance. Next he attended The River at Revival Mission Christian Ministries, under the late Pastor T. Tyrone Greene, where he served as a Deacon. Afterwards, he attended Victorious Ministries, under the Annointed Man of God, Pastor Tony Smith. Through his illness, he would press through pain, heartache, and fluid buildup to the Kingdom of God. Every now and then he would get so happy, he would dance or go into a praise. He loved to go fishing, traveling and spending time with his family and friends. Garry loved car racing, wrestling, watching sports, and fixing and building cars. He leaves to cherish his spiritual legacy: his loving wife, Priscilla Walker Church; his two daughters, Katrina Church and Antoinette Canady; son, Morris Walker Jr.; five grandchildren, Priscilla Holmes Church, Terrell Jordan, Emmanuel Jeffress, Isaiah Burton and Gabrielle Canady; great-grandson, Jayden Lee Evans; son-in-law, Anthony Canady; adopted granddaughter, Evangelist Kennetha Griffin; adopted grandson and close friend, Deacon Maurice Griffin; four adopted great-grandsons, Daniel, Dayshawn, Day’Quan and Maurice Jr.; sister, Yvonne Seldon (sister, Mamie Hall preceded him in death); brother, Irvin Church Jr. (brother, William Neal preceded him in death); aunts, uncles and a host of other relatives and friends, including close friend, Michael Walker.
