Garcia Moody

Garcia Martice Moody was born on January 10, 1968 to Glen Edwin Moody and the late Joan Belinda Beverly. He was the eldest of four siblings and the only male. Garcia was often left in charge and very protective of his sisters. Garcia received his education in Baltimore City Public School System, graduating from Baltimore City College High School. Upon graduation in 1986, Garcia enlisted/joined the United States Air Force where he served as a Surgical Technician until being honorably discharged in 1992. Garcia continued to work in his trained profession through various healthcare agencies until his death. During his time of service he was awarded: AF Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Metal, NCO Professional Military Education Graduate Ribbon and Air Force Training Ribbon. Garcia accepted the Lord as his personal Savior and was baptized at an early age. He later joined the fellowship of Israel Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. H. Walden Wilson, II. As a youth he sang on the Youth and Young Adult Choir and attended Sunday school. As an adult he continued to attend regular Sunday service along with many of his family. Garcia loved looking good and smelling good; he appreciated an expensive pair of shoes, a unique watch, a good "Prince" song, all types of music and the occasional cigar. He had a passion for his family and for working. He was loyal and giving, "if he had it, he had no problem sharing." Garcia loved a good family gathering but he also enjoyed traveling, he lived his life without limits and embraced it at every turn, Garcia was uniquely intelligent and his intelligence made him very curious about life, science, and religion.Conversing with him would often leave you wondering why in the world anyone was thinking about these things. You would often hear him coming through the door of his grandmother's house saying "What's up?" and "What did you cook?" He was always curious about what time the holiday meal is going to be served. On Sunday September 13, 2015, while surrounded by his loving family, God, in his infinite wisdom, quietly called Garcia from his earthly life to his heavenly home. Garcia leave three children, Tenaj Moody, Andre Moody, Christian Moody; three sisters,Tonya Toney (Marshall), Yolanda Moody, Lenettea Beverly, his father Glen moody and Stepfather Tyrone Beverly; two loving Grandmothers, Estelle Robinson and Elanore Moody. Aunts (Danise Robinson, Vanessa McClean (Keith), Uncles (Delanore Robinson and Phillip Moody (Patricia), cousins (Kazim Bell and Robert Robinson (Tiffany), a very loving and loyal ex-wife Joyce Moody, nieces, nephews, family and friends whom he loved.
