Garcia Lamond Langston

Garcia Lamond Langston was born on January 23, 1965 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Pastor Thomas and Ella Louise Langston. The Lord called Garcia home on December 10, 2022 after a short illness. He received his education from the Baltimore City Public School system. At an early age, Garcia was a member of the Mt. Moriah Church of God in Christ where his father was the Pastor. In 2011, Garcia was baptized and accepted the Lord as his Savior at the New Rehoboth Baptist Church in Windsor Mill, Maryland under the late Dr. Zollie R. Wright. Garcia started his career working alongside his dad at Ralph D. Cherrio Enterprises. He worked at D.W. BAHR for 12 long years as a Plumber Apprentice. He also worked briefly at Old World Deli which started his interest in food services and catering. Garcia was last employed at Salerno’s Restaurant in Eldersburg, Maryland working in the Catering department which he greatly adored. While employed there he made a debut on WJZ highlighting the different menu options offered at the restaurant. Garcia met the love of his life Rhonda Anthony at an early age and later married and jumped the broom on October 3, 1998. They spent 24 blissful years together. Garcia loved to watch and play sports. His favorite of them all was Football and was a die heart Cowboys fan. He also had other activities that he enjoyed doing. Garcia was a very social person and loved to interact and talk to everyone. He was known as the “Late Caller” where he would call anyone at late hours and hold long conversations laughing and joking; just being his cheerful self. God gave Garcia an exceptional gift as a drummer. He played for numerous churches, bands and quartet groups. He used his gift to the fullest. Garcia loved the kids around him and would also teach them how to play the drums as well. He loved being with family and was the life of the party at every family gathering. Preceding him in death was his beloved parents, two sisters, Marian Wills and Joyce Perry, his godmother, Mae Friend, and his father in love Robert Anthony (affectionately known as Pop). Garcia leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved and devoted wife Rhonda Anthony Langston, daughter Daneka Langston, grand-daughter Danaisha Langston, and great-grand daughter Ava Wilson. His two brothers Arthur Bridges (Gloria), Thomas Langston Jr. (Patricia), baby sister Maria (affectionately known as twin), friend/brother Michael White, and a special bond with his nephew Jamal. Garcia had a special connection with his nieces and nephews, Latrenya, Antwan, Darion (Vicky), Marquise, Rayschel, Arteasha, Shamera, Alexandria, Brandon, Sharia (Jamal), Ba-Ba; his mother in Love, Addie Anthony, a host of great nieces and nephews, godfather (Lewis Willams Jr.), two god-sisters (Ella and Ann), three godchildren (Tyler Williams, Jordan Wills, and Iyana Brumfield), Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
