Gail T. Tucker-El

Gail Tanya (Carter) Tucker -El was born on November 5, 1953 in Baltimore, Maryland, daughter of the late Hazel Mae Carter and the late John Edward Carter.She received her education in Baltimore, Maryland. Gail graduated from Northern High School in 1972.As a child Gail joined the Greenmount Marching Band as a majorette and remained in the band until after her mid teens.Gail met and married Julius Wallace Tucker and out of that union one daughter was born, Lesslie Michelle Tucker.Later she was blessed with a beautiful daughter Tanika Holland and a son Bryant Sumpter.Gail accepted God into her life at an early age. She was baptized and joined Southern Baptist Church, where she served on the Junior Usher Board. She later moved her membership to Fulton Baptist Church where she served on the Senior Usher Board and the Fulton Choir. For three years Gail practiced Mortuary Science Muslim. After finding her roots she converted back to the Baptist religion and she joined First St. Stephen’s Baptist Church, and of course she immediately joined the Usher Board.Gail held several positions from Day Care Aid to sewing factory to housekeeping at University Hospital until her health disabled her to continue working.Gail was a very caring and loving person. She had three adorable children that were her life. She made numerous friends wherever she went. Gail will be sincerely missed by everyone who knew her.She leaves to mourn: daughter Lesslie Tucker; three granddaughters, SaBriaya Shipley, Shanika Brown and Toni Brown; one grandson Anthony “Shane” Battle; intended son-in-law Antonio Brown; sister Denise Wilson; loving nephews and nieces and a host of other relatives and friends.***********************************Tanika Cherie Thedosha Holland, daughter of the late Gail Tucker-El and Anthony Holland, was born on March 23, 1979 in Baltimore, Maryland.She received her education in Baltimore City Public Schools.Tanika accepted God in her life at an early age and served faithfully at Fulton Baptist Church.She was employed at The Knox’s Financial Group.Tanika was a dedicated mother of two girls, NeNe and Toni. She was a caring, loving kind person who would do anything for her family. When she learned of her mother and brother’s disabilities, she insisted that they all live together so that she could watch over them.Sometimes it’s hard to understand why some things have to be, but in His wisdom, God has planned beyond our power to see.She leaves to mourn: two daughters, Shanika Brown and Toni Brown; father, Anthony Holland; fiancee, Antonio Brown; sister, Lesslie Tucker; devoted aunt, Denise Wilson; niece, SaBriaya Shipley; nephew, Anthony “Shane” Battle; loving cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.***********************************Bryant Cleveland Sumpter was born on January 16, 1985 in Baltimore, Maryland, son of the late Gail T. Tucker-El and Cleveland Sumpter.He received his education in Baltimore City Public Schools. Because of his health Bryant was completing his education through home schooling.Bryant was a great uncle to Brie-Brie, NeNe, Toni, and Shane. He often spent endless time with them without ever complaining. He loved being with his family, listening to music and playing video games.Bryant accepted Christ at an early age, often fellowshipping and worshipping at Fulton Baptist Church. Growing into a mature gentleman, Bryant joined First St. Stephen’s Baptist Church.Bryant leaves to mourn: sister Lesslie Tucker; three nieces, SaBriaya Shipley, Shanika Brown, and Toni Brown; one nephew, Anthony “Shane” Battle; intended brother-in-law Antonio Brown; a devoted aunt Denise Wilson; loving cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
