Freddie Bryant

Freddie L. Bryant was the son of the late James Frank and Elizabeth Bryant. He was born in Florence County, South Carolina February 6, 1949. Freddie entered into eternal sleep Tuesday, August 15, 2006.Freddie received his early education in Olanta, South Carolina before moving to Baltimore, Maryland in 1964. He married his surviving wife Shirley A. Bryant December 4, 1971 and through this union three children were born. In 1987 he attended the Delaware Valley Schools of Trade in Maryland where he was awarded a certificate in plumbing. After moving to North Carolina he continued his education at the Davidson County Community College in 1998 in pursuit of his Adult High School Diploma.Freddie was a devoted and dedicated husband, father, brother and friend who inspired everyone he came in contact with. He was a loyal and understanding soul who touched the lives of everyone he knew. Freddie was a tremendous cook and his true passion was “Barbecuing the Pig.” He enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking, and plumbing. However, truck driving was his life’s work which he retired from in 1990. He was a community leader and Director of the Mocksville RAMS football league in North Carolina. Freddie was an excellent role model for young people. He enjoyed teaching his family and friends all that he had gained from experience and training.Freddie entered into eternal sleep Tuesday, August 15, 2006.Freddie has always been a child of GOD, but he came to really know the Lord in 1989 when he started to build a personal relationship with Christ. His constant growth in the body of Christ was passed onto everyone he loved and came in contact with.He leaves to cherish fond memories: his loving wife, Shirley A. Bryant in NC; two sons, Andre Saunders and Frank Bryant; two daughters, Annette Bryant and Tyra Norman of Baltimore, MD; two sons who will greet him in heaven, Adam Sykes and Robert Sykes; two godchildren, Donna O‘Conner and Tricia Harper; three very special extended children, Rovena Bryant and Maureen Johnson and Shyheims Ewings; two sisters, LaVista Wheeler of Baltimore, MD and Juanita Mills of Loris, SC; one brother, James T. Bryant of Baltimore, MD; one uncle, Lawernce Mckenzie of SC and one aunt, Gladys Lee of Orlanta, SC; mother-in-law, Bernice Wilson; two daughters-in-law, Linda Herbert and Anita Crockett; one son-in-law, Rodney Norman; four sisters-in-law, Shirley V. Bryant, Jocelyn Taylor, Thelma Parks and Vanessa Spradley; five brothers-in-law, Roy Mills of Loris, SC, Joseph Taylor, Purnell Henson, Willie Wheeler and Robert Parks of Baltimore, MD; seventeen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, Tara, Andrea, Kenneth, Timothy, Issiah, Robert, Jessica, Jamal, Janeila, Tyneila, Davontae, Deontae, Jasmine, Donte, Michael, Priscilla, and Erica.Sometimes God places people in our lives and we don’t know why; we don’t question his reason: But several people touched his life so special that he often considered them his own children. They also share a special bond that will truly be missed. Kelley MilIs, Delma Bryant, Derrick Spruill, Edwin Meekins, Henry Rice, Bernice Rice, Shawn Russ, Pam Willie, and his future daughter-in-law, Shallie Burley.Freddie L. Bryant touched so many lives! If we missed anyone please blame our minds and not our hearts.
