Freddie Lee Bell Jr.

Freddie Lee Bell, Jr. was born on October 10, 1966, in Richmond, Virginia, to the late Freddie Lee Bell, Sr. and Dorothy Marie Waller Bell. He peacefully departed this life at the age of 59 and entered into eternal rest. Freddie was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Pamela Walker and Deborah Walker; brother, Darrell Bell; and his niece, Shaqueda Walker. He was educated in the Richmond Public School System and graduated from Kennedy High School. Affectionately known as “Junnie” by family and friends, Freddie was a kind and gentle soul who loved dancing and engaging in conversation with everyone he met. Standing tall with a warm presence, he was known for his thoughtful nature. At times, he would sit quietly, reflecting on life’s wonders and appreciating the simple beauty around him. He especially enjoyed nature, taking walks throughout the streets of Richmond, and admiring the city’s rich history and landmarks. Junnie was known for his beautiful light brown eyes, his welcoming spirit, and his ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Wherever he went, he was recognized and appreciated. He was a loving, joyous, remarkable, and independent individual whose presence brought comfort and happiness to many. Through every challenge he faced, Freddie remained steadfast in his faith. He carried within him a hope that served as an anchor for his soul, firm and secure. His faith gave him the strength to stand through life’s uncertainties and storms without losing sight of God’s grace and promises. Freddie formerly resided at Winthrop Manor Assisted Living Residence in Richmond, Virginia, where he received compassionate care and support. The staff provided professional and personal assistance that helped meet his physical and mental health needs while allowing him to remain part of a caring community. He leaves to cherish his memory: loving sisters, Linda Galloway and Melissa Bell; brother, Wayne Bell; nieces, Lamonda Crystall Bell, China, Latadya, Dequalia, Devonna, Carlicia Walker, and Brandi Galloway; nephews, Proctor Galloway, Jr., Leroy, Jerome, Freddie Bell III, Ricky, Rondario, Dominique Walker, and Tyquan Wilkerson; 40 great-nieces and great-nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.
