Francine Turnage

Francine Turnage, was the first daughter of the late Mr. and Ms. John H. and Mary Turnage, born on July 24, 1963, in Baltimore, Maryland. “Fran” as she was affectionately called by her family and friends, grew-up in East Baltimore. In 1981, Francine graduated from Patterson High School in Baltimore, Maryland. Shortly after graduation, she enrolled in Essex Community College in Baltimore, majoring in Business Management. As a young adult, she loved taking care of disable children. During her employment as an Assist Family Support Worker, at City Hospital and Church Home Hospital, in Baltimore. Francine also worked several jobs as an Assistant Accountant. Francine later met and befriended, Mr. Ronald W. Miller, Jr., and after a brief engagement, in 1991, she joined him in matrimony. This union was blessed with two additional children, and after years of marriage, and due to life uncertainty, and their irreconcilable differences, they later divorced. She later met, Mr. Marnon Maurice Bowles, and after a brief engagement, in 2009, she joined him in matrimony. Francine enjoyed her life and lived it to the fullest. She loved her children and family dearly. She enjoyed her grandchildren calling her “Granny Franny.” Francine spent most of her past-time doing what she loved, watching movies and spending time with her children and grandchildren. On October 2, 2017, at Gilchrist Center in Howard County, Maryland, Francine slipped peacefully into eternal rest. She will be well missed, and as we remember her smile, it will be a constant reminder of the love we shared. She leaves to cherish her fond memories: husband, Mr. M. Maurice Bowles; six children, Ms. Shavonia L. Green, of Columbia, Maryland, Ms. Nakisha N. Fonseca, Mr. Kenneth R. Fonseca, Mr. Kirk R. Fonseca, Sr., Ms. Rashia L. Miller and Mr. Ronald W. Miller, Ill; a beloved sister and brother, Ms. Maria Turnage and Joe Caribbean, Ms. Minnie Joseph; seven aunts, Mrs. Evangeline Brandon (Godmother], Ms. Ernestine Turnage, Ms. Annette Johnson, Ms. Barbara Epps, Ms. Marie Robinson; two uncles, Mr. Harrison H. Brandon and Mr. Leonard Joseph of Baltimore, Maryland; a beloved cousin, Mr. Rhasheen G. Turnage, of Morristown, New Jersey; nineteen grandchildren, one great grandchild and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
