Felicia accepted Christ at an early age beginning her Christian journey at the St James AME church in Miami, FL Later she joined New Birth Baptist Church and continued her fellowship virtually at New Birth even after relocating to Richmond, VA in 2015. Felicia’s educational journey began at Jackson’s Toddle Inn, a popular Early Childhood facility in Miami. She went on to graduate from Miami Springs Senior High School, Class of 1982. After graduating from high school, she attended Miami Dade College Felicia’s career in law enforcement began in August of 1994 at the City of Miami Police Department where she dedicated three years of service as a Police Aide II. This position led to a 32-year career with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Starting as a Secretary, elevating into the ranks throughout the Bureau until her final position as Office Services Supervisor. During her tenure she received Certificates of Achievement and Performance Awards. Fond memories are etched in the heart of her daughter, Briyana Grooms; grandchildren, Kaelani Grooms and Kairo Golden Grooms; sister, Valencia Grooms Welbon (Earl); uncles, Charles Groom (Carlotta), Ross Grooms (Evelyn), Cornelius Grooms (Leola); aunt, Recy Grooms Franklin; a host of cousins, coworkers and friends.
