Evan Kent Davis

Evan Kent Davis, son of Kent S. Davis Sr. and Robin L. Harrison was born on April 23, 1988 in Baltimore, Md. at Sinai Hospital. His life was suddenly taken on December 11, 2015. Evan received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System. He also studied at Woodstock Job Corp where he received his certification in carpentry. Evan used his skills in carpentry to work alongside his dad Kent Sr. and brother Kent Jr. to enrich beauty of many homes in Baltimore, Md. he also worked many catering events within the family business, Elite Quality Staffing. Evan's most recent employment was with Ashley Furniture where he excelled in sales and outstanding customer service. Evan demonstrated a passion for many things including football, playing the drums for the Baltimore Rockers Marching Band, and dancing at a very young age. He also received numerous trophies and awards for his outstanding performance in football. Evan established a football team of his own at CC Jackson Recreation Center called the "Park Heights Bulldogs." While attending Carver High School, Evan also started a marching band. Also known for his sense of humor, family and friends were always entertained by his funny impression of Carlton from the "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air." Evan attended Browns Memorial Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. R. Lee Johnson where he accepted Christ at an early age. He also attended Shining Star Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Toliver Perkins. Evan sang on the choir at both churches. A great friend to many, he had a very caring spirit and took great pride in being a loyal and trustworthy family member and friend. Evan is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Robert Cofield and Lilly Jackson; His paternal grandparents: Noah Davis and Annie Pearl Turner; Cousins: Jermaine and Devell Johns; and best friend: Dontaye "Smiley" Isatyger. He aslo leaves to mourn his daughter: Emonie Davis (Shaneika); Mother: Robin L. Harrison; Father: Kent S. Davis Sr.; Stepmother: Sharon P. Davis; Sisters: Mallory Davis, Lauryn Jones and April Perkins; Brothers: Kent Davis and Jamal Jones; Nieces: Kylee and D'Nelle; His favorite Aunt: Marsie (Kenneth); Lifelong friends: Kendra, Daniel, Deandre, Nnate, and a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.
