Eva Ann Ross

Reflections of Eva's Life Mrs. Eva Ann Coles Ross was born August 11,1948,at St. Philips Hospital,Richmond,VA to the late Henry Robert and Georgiana "Sally" Coles,she being the oldest of nine siblings.She passed away at St. Mary's Hospital at 12:00 a.m.,December 19,2012.with her family by her side. Eva was reared in the Richmond Public Schools Systems,graduating from Maggie L. Walker High School. She furthered her studies at Virginia Commonwealth University,J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College,Rappahannock Communuty College and Sallie Thompson Nursing School. For 18 years,she was employed with Medical College of VA Hospitals. On August 12,2000.she met and married Eddie National Ross,Sr. She was later employed at King William High School for 10 years where she retired September 2009. Eva was baptized at an early age under the pastorate of Dr. B. W. Robertson,Sr. and was a dedicated member of Cedar Street Baptist Church for many years. In February 2001,she joined Concord Fellowship Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. A. E. Drew,where she was a devoted member. Her committed involvement in the ministries at Concord expressed that she was truly a woman after God's own heart. At Concord,Eva served as the president of the women's ministry,president of the missionary ministry,taught bible study to the youth also served as director of the youth,member of the usher's ministry,van driver and chairperson for the Annual Outreach Community and Retreats Events. As part of her ministry she taught bible study to the seniors at the Churchill House affording countless seniors to travel and fellowship with each other. She taught clerical classes at he R-CAP community center and delivered food for the Food Pantry. Eva enrolled in the Infinity Bible Seminary where she received her Associates Degree and was currently working towards receiving her B. A. Degree. During this time she was called to a higher mission and was in training to be a deaconess at CFBC. She leaves to cherish her fondest memories her devoted husband,Eddie N. Ross,Sr.;four children ,Caesar Vonzell Coles,Margarita"Margaret"(Arnette)Coles-Person,Eddie Ross,Jr.,Antoine Hicks;seven grandchildren,Jacques Turnage,Synchelle and Vonzell Coles,Caesar Burton,Miayaloni and Melanie Person and Shyla Wilson;also the children of Antoine Hicks;four great grandchildren;four sisters,Henrietta (Vernon)Brown,Lucy Watson,Linda Coles and Alfreda Brown;four brothers,Henry Robert(Cynthia)Bruce,Marvin and Ivory(Rita)Coles;a host of other relatives and friends.
