Eric Alan Easton

ERIC ALAN EASTON was born to Delores B. Easton and the late Ulysses T. Easton on August 10, 1957 in Baltimore, Maryland. Two brothers, Michael and Antonio Easton preceded him in death. Eric quickly and quietly went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 20, 2006.He received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System. In 1976, he graduated from Frederick Douglass Senior High School. While a student there, he was a member of the football, track & field, and wrestling teams. Immediately following high school, he was enlisted in the United States Army and served in the Transportation Unit. At the time of his demise, he was employed at Seiler Hughes as a data entry Specialist. He was employed there for ten years and was a valuable asset to the company and all who worked with him.Eric was a tireless advocate for equality and justice. He was affiliated with many organizations and committees that helped to promote the health, financial, racial and social well being of our society. To name a few: All People’s Congress, Ancestor’s Roots Inc., C. Miles and the Underground Posse, The Children’s First Movement, Concerned Citizens for Police Accountability & Review, The Final Analogy, I Can’t We Can, Just You & Me (MSU Talk Radio Show, WEAA-88.9 FM), The Mark Steiner Show (Talk Radio Show, WYPR-88. 1 FM), Million Man March, Millions More Movement, NAACP, Nation of Islam, National Action Network, (Former Vice-President), and Unity for Action (Co-Founder). It was never uncommon to see Eric grab a bullhorn and rally for the causes that he firmly believed were important to Our people. He will always be remembered for his ability to unite people of all racial and social backgrounds. He will always be remembered as an advocate for change.On November 11, 1987 he was joined in holy matrimony to his sweetheart, Mamie E. Dorsey. He was very devoted to his wife and children. Eric and Mamie went on numerous trips and always seemed to live in the honeymoon phase of their marriage. He was always loving and supportive of his children and grandchildren. He was equally loving and devoted to his entire family and all of his friends. He always came to family events with a big smile and made everyone laugh. You could always depend on him to be there if you needed him. Eric was the biggest fan of the Baltimore Ravens and Maryland Terps. Eric had many hobbies and special interests. Among them was his love for writing poetry. He also loved his dog King, and treated him as though he was a child.He leaves to cherish memory: a devoted and loving wife, Mamie E. Easton; a devoted and proud mother, Delores B. Easton; one daughter, Tiffany; two sons, Aaron and Renault; one brother, Ricardo Parker Sr.; two sisters, Moncia Brooks and Lisa Easton; one son-in-law, Russell Jackson Sr.; seven grandchildren, Russell Jr., Eric, D’Andra, Lesha, Tamira, Darian, and Shakira; six brothers-in-law, Rodney, Edward, Jimmie, Pete, Lawrence and Nathaniel; four sisters-in-law, Carolyn, Elizabeth, Gwendolyn, and Barbara; four aunts, Louise, Daisy, Sonia and Joyce; five uncles, Charles, Harold, William, George and Robert; one god-mother, Yetta Burton; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
