Ella J. Yarborough

Ella J. Pindell Guye Yarborough was born on May 1, 1918 in Baltimore, Maryland. She departed her earthly home on April 17, 2005, after a long and lengthy illness. She was the daughter of the late Daniel and Mary Pindell and the ninth of fifteen children. Ella received her education in the Baltimore City Public School System. She attended Douglass Senior High School. She also attended hair dressing school and often did her family, friends and neighbor's hair. But her favorite customer was her mother, she curled and waved her mother's hair every week. She worked for Rogers Beauty Supply, Hecht Company and Brager-Gutmans. She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Floyd E. Guye. From this union three daughters and two sons were born. She later married the late Charles Yarborough. She was a former member of St. Francis Xavier's Church and later became a faithful member of St. Ann's Catholic Church. Ella loved the Lord and loved St. Ann's Church and her church family. She was a dedicated member in the Adult Choir, Parish Leadership Committee, and the Sodality. Ella had a passion for life and loved her family. She had fond memories of the good times at her mother's house on Saturday nights and after church on Sunday, where family and friends would gather for the famous rolls, stew and fried chicken. Every weekend was a family reunion. She leaves to cherish her memory: five children, Florine Wheeler, Catherine Turner, Vivian Beasley, Robert Guye and Michael Guye; daughter-in-law, Patricia Guye; two sons-in-law, Harry A. Wheeler Jr. and Howard Turner, Jr.; eleven grandchildren, Harry A. Wheeler, Eric Wheeler, Tanja Wheeler, Darrell Turner, Renee Massey, Richard Beasley, Jr., Sonia Beasley, Arlene Brown, Robert Guye Jr., Maria Guye and Michael Guye, Jr.; fifteen great-grandchildren, Nia Wheeler, Janay Wheeler, Lanee Turner, Terrance Dixon, Denzel Massey, Monique Porter, Shauna Jones, Steven Beasley, Jr., Amber Miller, Ashley Edwards, Rhyasia Beasley, Brandy Beasley, Tyrese Beasley, Jamaro Guye and Kayla Guye; two great-great grandchildren, Toni Anderson and Chantia Beasley; two sisters, Irma Faulcon and Mary Conaway; two brothers, Edgar Pindell and Lewis Pindell; and a host of other relatives and friends.
